Don't even bother during wet weather. The slightest sniff of rain and the place becomes a bog. Quite seriously, you really do need to ford streams and boggy areas to progress up the fairway (2nd hole is a prime example).
Don't worry about dress code. Jeans and tank tops are welcome - draw your own conclusions.
Greens also get extremely boggy when wet. Nobody seems to bother replacing divots or repairing ball marks on the greens. When visiting earlier this week, there were even divots on several of the greens (unrepaired). I think the only treatment the course gets is an occassional mowing.
There are bunkers (or swimming pools in the rain). They have little sand and plenty of stones.
In terms of difficulty, it is a tricky layout. Often fairly tight out-of-bounds on the right (on at least 4 holes) punitive rough in many places and greens that have exceptional slopes (notably the 7th which is like a ski slope). Not so much a challenege as an ordeal.
Shop is functional (i.e. they can take your money and make you a cup of tea) and the welcome is perfectly good. Putting green currently has a great channel dug across the middle of it. Driving range is uncovered, uphill and poor quality balls.
Overall, cheap, but not particularly cheerful.
