Course and hospitality let down by roganisation
A group of us have played this course for many years at least once annually - yesterday we were VERY disappointed to find a slow 5 ball (is that breaking the rules!?!) playing in front of our leading group, 2 temporary greens with no pre advice from the club before playing or signs on the tees to warn us and visitors showers broken and marked "out of bounds" again with no pre advice or offer to use the members showers as a temporary alternative - goodbyeee OltonReviewer Rating

Bored
Has got to be one of the most boring tracks to play in the Midlands. Condtion suffered from a recent aeration but otherwise fair. Members stuffy and bar prices as expected " expensive " welcoming was great and loved the practice facilities.Reviewer Rating

Played last week, there seems to be a lot of work going on in the bunkers and about time too, course was ok but a bit of slog - hopefully the bunkering will make it more enjoyable

Prefer RHGC and Copt Heath
5 courses this year spoiled really as all good olton 3rd in my choice followed by Moseley and Harborne. Condition similar to RHGC but maybe copt Heath had betterReviewer Rating

Tough Course
The course overall played well but extremely long for my game. When you got to the greens they were very hard to read and play which certainly added a certain amount of frustration, although I appreciate I may have been punching above my weight related to my ability. That said it has a fine reputation deservedly so. Clubhouse and food very nice. Certainly worth a visit if you like a challenge.Reviewer Rating

Played on the course for the 2nd time in a year, thought it was time I wrote a review, both times the course was in nice condition however after two rounds I am bored. It has not got many interesting holes at all, the clubhouse, small but tidy, pro shop well stocked and got round quickly

Course was again in good order, its not the most thrilling of tracks in fact its very dull, clubhouse is warm and welcoming and the food was nice.

We played Olton for the 2nd time this year, first time we had work going on the greens and this time work look like its just finished, having said that the course was tidy, prefer other courses locally but its always nice to play
