Great Course

Really nice course with some lovely looking holes. Scenery is very nice.
Driving range is very small and basic and you can't use woods.

Good course in nice weather but currently in a poor state and the greens were awful. Sand everywhere!

The greens had all been sanded and made the putting very difficult. Just a shame as the course was excellent

Good value for money if you go with twilight rate. Course not in the best condition and feel it could be better given the rest of the facilities but still a decent challenge with some great views and tricky holes to navigate.

Good for weekend break

Went here for a weekend break and enjoyed it. The course was good, although I think the tees needed work. There are some lovely holes on the course and I think it would be great to play it in summer with the greens in perfect conditions as the slopes on some of them would be interesting. Food was good in the hotel and the sports bar had plenty of room to watch sport.
Negatives would be that it is a single course location and there isn't room for a full driving range so that would place it mid level rather than at the top of the places to stay for a golf break.

Enjoyable 2 rounds over 2 days in April '17. Very friendly staff, buggy hire was a bit expensive. 1 temporary green (a shame), All the greens were fair to middling, but this may improve over Spring and Summer.

Slightly disappointing if I'm honest. Played March 30th so technically winter but after a week of dry weather and a warm sunny day I was surprised to have to use 4 tee boards and 2 temporary greens.

Lots of interesting holes - the par 3's are great fun - but the condition of the course was pretty average.

I played at The Buckinghamshire (same owners) 2 weeks before and the difference in quality is huge.

The winter deal we had was great at £35 per head for 18 holes, buggies, curry and a (small) beer. I would begrudge paying more than £35 to play here unless it significantly improved over spring.

Played in a Society event last week and it was all a bit of a mish mash. Hotel, and Golf course clearly didn't talk to each other, so the service wasn't great and the course had THREE temporary tees even for the height of the season.

The course itself was fantastic between holes 1-7 which weaved through the trees, the 5th being spectacular. Then it became a very dull heathland course between 8-14 and then it went back into the trees and finished very well. Greens were fair, but overall, it was no more than average for the price.

3rd time I've played this course, and it's too hard for me. I think I'll come back if I ever get below 20 on my handicap or when I can hit a driver consistently.
The facilities are amazing as was the course condition, dont walk unless you are fit, the paths can be very steep.

i have played here two or three times, and all have been after heavy rain. To say this course doesn't cope well with rain would be an understatement. Overall though I think it is a very good course with a bit of everything, hills, lakes, trees. There are some memorable holes that you will certainly want to play again.

The facilities are excellent, except for the driving range (no drivers allowed) and a limited range of kit in the small pro shop.

Will definitely play here again.
