Good course
Challenging course. Greens have suffered during the summer drought.Worth a playing for the 17th alone....wonderful golf hole.

Good course, was a bit wet and muddy in areas after the winter we have had bit overall in good condition. Course plays well long and straight with a few hills early and late in round

Played the course off the whites which was a real test. Lot of the holes felt like shooting alleys but if you kept the ball in play, you could score well. Tricky opening hole if you've not played before (which we hadn't). Tee boxes decent enough, and greens in good condition. Not fast fast but enough pace. The practice green was awful but fortunately the course greens were much much better. This really is well worth a visit, and look out for the last 3 holes which were all great holes - 17th was something else. We got a £12 teeofftimes deal so well worth it - I wouldn't pay much more than £20 though.

This is a course which uses the natural lie of the land making for interesting fairways and varied greens. The first 4 or 5 holes and the last 2 holes are spectacular and really enjoyable to play. The holes in the middle are pretty flat, but some persistent water hazards, well placed bunkers and fair rough kept the course interesting enough.
Our experience was that it was very well maintained; the greens aren't fancy "USGA standard" carpets, but they are short, consistent and fair which are very representative of a charming, unpretentious golf course.
Well worth a visit, and make sure you save your energy for the last 2 holes because you will want to savour them. A good and recommended course for all standards of golfer.

Nice challenging course, dry conditions after a few days of heavy rain before we played. Course well maintained and greens running well altho a little slow. Staff were very polite and food was cheap. Enjoyable round and £15 on a sunday was a bargin.

21 golfers from our BHGC Seniors Section played here on 26 July 2014. We all agreed it was a great day out. We were made most welcome and particularly enjoyed a wonderful carvery and pudding after the game. Highly reccommended.

Played in the Seniors Open on Thursday 3rd July 2014. Enjoyed the course and the catering but was very disappointed with how the competition was handled. Me & my partner came in with a very good score of 46 Stableford points but because we could not get back for the 8pm presentation we told we would possibly not qualify to receive a prize. It turned out that 46 points was the best score, but not good enough because someone else had the same score which beat our back nine of 24points. This I have to accept but we were not even allocated second prize. What we did get however was a special "veterans" prize which was valued low by comparison. This left a sour taste in what was otherwise a very enjoyable day.

a very nice course to play fairways and greens very good ,some very interesting holes the last two par 5 are a challenge. but had a very enjoyable day.
