Nice Course
Fairways still recovering from last year with some bare lies on the fairways and around greens. Greens were in good condition. With the hard and fast fairways on the tighter holes you have to beware of running into the gorse and undergrowth.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.6)

Great Course
Great course to play at. Front 9 isn't too tricky. Back 9 is harder but but absolutely stunning.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: 17.6)

improved condition
Play this course every now and then when it's not too wet as it doesn't drain very well. Today particularly impressed by the greens which ran true and fast. Difficult course if you go off line but also rewards good play.Course quiet and very good value.

Harder than you think
Don't be fooled by the Par 70, this course plays tough. Tight dog legs, sloping fairways and long up hill holes means this can be a real work out. Need to play this course a few times to get the measure of it. Will be returning soon(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 13.5)

bobbly greens
Course was showing wear and tear from hot summer and greens had also just been tined and so made putting a bit of a lottery. Unfortunately there were no notices on the club's website to indicate this which was a bit frustrating. There was a notice in the pro shop when you booked in but that was a bit late!(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 19.9)

tight tricky course
Enjoyed our first visit, we many interesting holes. Definitely need to play 2/3 times to know length of some of the doglegs. good greens recently sanded and tinned but putted reasonably well. Nice elevation changes but not too long.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 19.3)

Nice sunshine. Long grass
Lost a few balls I did not expect, just off the edge of the fairway, due to long grass. It is improving as it dries out and they can mow the fairways,

It's been raining recently but the condition of fairways and rough areas was truly terrible. We lost balls that should have been easily found (landed in first cut) but pretty anything that wasn't daisy cutter height would end up plugged pretty much everywhere but the greens. Everywhere was very very wet and churned up mud areas would of kept a few pigs happy. Whilst some roping off was present it simply couldn't be enough as the mud was everywhere!
The greens played surprisingly well, clearly good construction, but that is not enough to overcome the rest of the course.
Multiple dog leg holes across the course and a few shorter par 4 holes (one is just 231yds!) make it a simpler course, but of course no run at all can make you feel like your slogging around. It's pretty bland with not much in the way of evergreen trees, and I'm sure it looks more like the pictures in the summer months.
Didn't experience much of the facilities and hospitality but was happy enough with the putting green.
It'll be a tough choice to return in the summer though, as I'm just not sure whether I would enjoy to pay for it having had such a bad experience this time around.

Autumn/Winter Golf
Always tough playing parkland courses in England in winter so when I play I'm open minded. I played with a friend who's a member and we got round in 3.5 hours. Yes some areas were a bit mushy but generally the tees and fairways were good. The greens were excellent and you can see that they put a lot of time and effort into those.Reviewer Rating
