1st Par 4, Pretty straight with quite a wide fairway to aim at but be aware of the bunker to the left halfway down and the others on both sides of the green.
2nd par 4, The perfect approach is down the left as this leaves a nice approach as there's bunkers to the right of the fairway. The greens fairly flat.
3rd par 4, open fairway with bunkers to the far right. Be aware that the green is surrounded with bunkers.
4th par 5, This hole can be quite tricky as its a dogleg left with water. The perfect shot is slightly right and about 190yrds which will still leave a testing 2nd through a gap in trees and over the water. This nshould leave you with a nice pitch uphill to the green which again has a few turns in it but nothing serious.
5th par 3, Quite straight forward but the the green is very testing with lots of turns.
6th par 5, This holes called zig zag for that reason. It starts with a turn to the right at about 220yrds then a good fairway wood or long iron shot will leave you with a nice pitch to the green. Depending on thepin position the green can be a bit tricky.
7th par 3, A long par 3 with water to the left and out of bounds to the right so be aware.
8th par 4, Water to the left so slightly right of centre is great for your 2nd shot down to the green.
9th par 4, Dogleg left with out of bounds to the left and bunkers to the far right. Bunkers to the left and right of the green.
10th par 4, a straight run to the green with out of bounds to the left. uphill 2nd shot to the green which is pretty flat.
11th par 4, Dogleg right. A good 200yrd drive towards the X marker will leave a niceapproach to the green but be aware if you miss to the rear of the green it could cost you some shots as its steep downhill.
12th par 3, A downhill tee shot to the green where they are currently building up the back of the green so it can be attacked more.
13th par 4, Pretty straight with bunkers right and rough to the left. The green is guarded with bunkers front and right.
14th par 5, Stroke index 1 but if you can stay down the middle i dont think you'll have too many problems.
15th par 4, A lot of rough to the left with bunkers both sides of the fairway. when approaching the green there's a bunker to the front but they're altering the back so it can be attacked more.
16th par 4, This one needs a straight drive as there's rough to the left and the fairway slopes to the right. The green is perfect to be attacked.
17th par 3, Pretty straight forward with bunkers to the left of the green.
18th par 5, The perfect T shot is down the right which will take out the trees down the left for your 2nd shot. Quite a wide fairway to aim at but a few bunkers await you at the green.

Practice facilities are very good and the driving range, putting and chipping greens are all in close proximity to the pro shop and on the way to the first tee.
Although the fairways are relatively wide and forgiving it was a test as the wind was blowing and the length of the course is sufficiently long for it to be a challenge.
I have played both Wilmslow Golf Club and the Hotchkin course at Woodhall Spa within the last 2 weeks and can honestly say that the condition and speed of the greens at Norwood was better than both of those courses at present and so credit must go to the course manager and the green staff.
Overall a good day and excellent value for money.

Excellent course, goof facilities, course in good condition for time of year. Watch out for the two par 5's on front 9, with the water. Good par 3's especially the 12th.
