Played today and it was really busy and very wet . Not in great condition although ive played in the summer and it was better.

I'm not a member anyehereanymore and play most of the courses around the County. Front 9 quite pleasant although pretty wet this time of the year. The back 9 is like walking onto a different course. You have to check the sign in case you've taken the wrong turning. Not as good the back 9, still pretty wet though. On the bright side its cheap to play, you get what you pay for though!

Played today with some friends> Started badly with massive attitude from the guy in the shop because we were 5 minutes late. Felt like we were doing him a favour. Any way enjoyed the first 9 holes although the condition was a bit boggy , however it had been raing the day before. Last 9 were very differnt and not as good. Clubhouse facilities was a collection of wooden sheds although the food was nice and the manager seem really pleasant, shame about the pro

Played on Friday 31 Mar 23, course was flooded. Nothing on the website before, no comment made in the Pro shop. Played 6 holes then came off. Pro staff agreed the course should be closed but ‘…owners have a policy of no closure….’ A disgrace, The paths were like rivers, our trolleys were ripping up the fairways. I’ve given them a 3 because the greens had great drainage and were very good. I won’t be back.Reviewer Rating

I'm a member but not planning on renewing unfortunately. I enjoy the course during the summer but a bit wet in the winter. Currently charging only £9.50 for a round of golf it'll be cheaper for me to pay and play than be a member

Played it last month with my society. The front 9 was quite nice, back 9 was pretty average and greens rock hard although they putted alright. However it was only £9.50 , so you get what you pay for, cant complain. Probably wont play it again though.

played this course after a bout of bad weather! the people were very freindly and welcoming. unfortunately the course didnt meet quite up to expectation. the fairways were very bare and the greens very sandy. i appreciate that some of these conditions were due to winter etc but it made it a very a long and frustrating day!!!!

Good course, very slow play.
Played this afternoon, course in good condition for the time of the year but play was extremely slow. Upwards of 2 hours 30 for 9 holes with queues on tee after tee. Dampened the experience sadly.Reviewer Rating

Wildlife areas or very long rough????
I understand the need for sustainability and allowing areas to go wild / be planted as wildlife areas but so many of these areas were directly off the fairway, I hear you say, keep it on the fairway then, but I'm not that good and sometimes miss the fairway, on 1 hole I saw my ball go just into these overgrown areas, ball lost, no staggered rough, straight from fairway to masses of long grass.Reviewer Rating

Course in good condition, although quite a few dead mature trees. Round speed reasonable, no waiting on tees. Friendly golf shop and clubhouse.

Great course, greens are in great condition for the time of year. Can get quite busy, but there are good practice facilities if you have to wait to get out on the tee. Will certainly be back to play again in the summer.

Went recently as a novice golfer and tried out the West wood 9 hole course par 3. The course is good and really enjoyed the water hole (did not lose my ball there unlike steve). for the six quid on a saturday afternoon i would certainly recommend it to anyone. On the first hole though, keep an eye on the driving range if you tend to slice the ball like me.. My second shot was from an area scattered with driving range balls.

First time at this course, for a new course (opened 2000) it very good and i'm sure will inprove with age. Just one tip of advice buy a course planer from the Pro's Shop as some of the holes are blind and you can't tell which way they go, so a course planer is a must. (cost £3).

I always find playing this course rather frustrating. it's one of those courses that looks easy to play but never seem to score well on, I find it slightly over priced for what it is, having said that, there are some good challenging holes and some straight up & down ones too. It's nor the best parkland but not the worst either. The foods not bad, the bars small & cozy likewise is the pro shop.
