Course excellent and beautifully presented one of the best courses in Manchester if not the best. The greens at northendenGC are simply magnificent and the best I have ever played on. Well done NGC

Played northenden after heavy snow the day before and heavy rain overnight. Expected the poor weather to end any hope of playing there winter open, not so! The greens where unbelievable for this time of year and as good as most in the summer. With a young prodigy at the helm this course is must for winter golf. The course was a little wet under foot but the whole course was clean and well presented so no trouble with lost halls and the likes. Stunning course and I will be back well done to the green team out there :-)

What a great course.Some lovely layed out holes.
A good test for all golfers,brilliant parkland course with some of the best greens i`ve ever played.
Would highly recommend you give it a go.Very good staff in the pro shop too.GREAT PLACE.

This excellent parkland course invested a huge amount of money in new greens and course drainage i'm told. And it shows. The course is fully open all year (no temporary greens!!) as i've played in summer and winter. An interesting and enjoyable layout too. Food and service friendly and first class.

Society Day
Had a wonderful day at Northenden - all our members commented on the quality of the greens, for mid November they were exceptional. Warm welcome on arrival for brekkie and in the bar afterwards. Very playable despite recent rain, good mix of holes and ongoing improvements making the course better and better.Reviewer Rating

Played on a free four ball voucher won in a charity raffle. Good condition considering rain fall and the time of year. New clubhouse was very modern. New spike bar very good apart from the noise echoes, could hear older members in the corner complaining non stop about all sorts and even told us not to play here this time of year! Not a great advert for the club. Bar staff and pro very welcoming. Would recommend.

Playing in the autumn can be tricky on some courses, but not here. The greens staff were busy clearing the leaves and cutting the grass. It had rained heavily in the morning but the course was still very playable. The fairways were not very wide, but the semi rough was not too punishing. The trees on the edge of the holes provide definition, the river should not be in play on any hole. The course is noisy due to the motorway, but this is not a major downside.
