Fantastic members only course

Course was in excellent condition
Tricky if you go off the fairway but greens were true - shame my putting wasn't up to the same standard as the course.

A wonderfull course which is over 100 years old and ranked 93 best course in the UK. Fantastic condition and great layout . A great test for all abilities. Well worth a visit

First time at the county

Well it was a lovely course to play.having waited a long while to get out on the course. And it did not disappoint. Not that i played at my best, too many 3 putts.

Lovely lovely lovely

First time playing the main course. What a joy to behold. Even after endless rains no puddles or muddy fairways, even buggies on the course! This is a special place. Fantastic fairways, aprons better than most courses greens and a lot more undulating than I imagined. It is long this time of year with little run out off your drives. Lots of slopes both fairways and greens, but all in lovely condition. It makes you think which is good. Relatively wide for the most part but far from easy. It must be a brute in the summer with greens running quick but I will be back. Good pro shop staff. Yes some of the older members are a bit ‘old school’ and can give the club a bad elitist feel but ignore those and this is just a great course.

Really nice course, a mixture of wide fairways and tight risk and reward holes. The greens run quick and true and there are virtually no flat putts. Presentation of the course was spot on

Shear delight even in the rain

I always thought this course would be too difficult for a high handicapper. Some of the fairways were narrower than what I usually play on, but with some careful play, i didnt venture into the rough too much. Despite on and off rain, I thoroughly enjoyed playing here, and the clubhouse was very welcoming and food great. As the course is ten minutes from where I live, I would love to join, not many courses have this affect on me, I will have to persuade the wife, that it would be a good investment for me to join

Golfer

Great course and very dry in winter. The new pratise Facilities are top class in addition to a practise ground there is a grass range, 2 putting greens and a short game area . Its a golfer dream for a full day out. The ProSwing fitting studio fitted me with Woods & Irons so I had to return to play and practise. Best course for miles around.

Fantastic course, many great and interesting holes

First time playing Northamptonshire County and very impressed. A good challenge to all, with a great variety of holes and plenty of strategically placed bunkers. Given recent dry spell the course was in fantastic condition. Fairways firm with plenty of run and the tricky greens still in really top condition. Definitely recommend.

One of the best midlands courses

Utterly Superb, if its not the best ( Hollinwell ) then its the 2nd best course in the East Midlands, brilliant and in fantastic condition, the greens are very fast and if you are on the wrong side of the very sloped greens then "good Luck" 18 Fantastic Holes and the 19th was excellent and most accommodating as well
