We got very lucky with the weather, calm and still with a bit of sunshine thrown in. Arrived early and sampled a brilliant Lincolnshire sausage & egg roll. Course conditions were slightly soft underfoot but not soft enough to leave your footwear as if you?d been on a hiking adventure. The parkland holes were softer than the links (standard)On the course all but the par 3?s were played off tee boxes. It was nice to bunkers with sand in. All the greens were consistent for pace. A real nice experience. The only criticism would be, there isn't an area to loosen up (driving net) prior to the first tee shot

Worth a visit
worth a visit for the golf. Hotel itself is very dated. Needs some money spending on the rooms. 1 member of staff needs to be trained in customer service(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 91 Handicap: 13.4)

Beautiful course, I love it. Hard though.
We try to come here every year with the lads for a weekend away and to play this testing but nice course, Surprised to see how dry it was as we had had a little rain not that long ago which made the course skip on a touch plus the greens we a little rough/uneven but again we enjoyed it and cannot wait for next year.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 104 Handicap: 23.3)

Again North Shore did not disappoint 2pm tee off time after a captains day in the morning and the course was still in excellent condition well stocked shop friendly pro and by the time we were on the 16th course to ourselves a must for a good weekends golf

Better than expected
Game much improved but the course has some quirks - water hazards with no water you can play out of, banking's that protect walkways but it was busy. Very busy. Whilst the pace of play was no issue at all when there are 2 or 3 parallel fairways with a couple of groups on each then it could get a bit worrying. Anyhow, greens good but any great amount of poor weather could be an issue. Fairways OK for the most part.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 22.8)

Kicked off our golf tour around Lincolnshire at North Shore. Didn't really know what to expect but this course turned out to be a little gem. Not long by any stretch of the imagination and you do end up being bunched up in places on the back nine, but we all thoroughly enjoyed the course. Lovely greens and some of them are very difficult to read. Lovely little golf courses with a nice clubhouse as well, which is part of the Great Western Hotel chain. Very friendly and knowledgeable professional.

played here for captains weekend the course is great the greens are fast and true on sunday the wind was blowing and it changed the course it made it really hard going but we all enjoyed it all the same the food was good and all the staff where very polite and nothing was to much trouble thanks to all at north shore for a great weekend the nags head golf society

Played last week ( April 2024) greens for time of year excellent, fairways well maintained . Best par threes I've ever played , infact I've played the brabazon and this course in my opinion is better.

DISAPPOINTED COMPARED TO PREVIOUS VISITS.
I have played North Shore many times in the past with my son's.27/09/23 was a huge let down.Last played it 2 years ago and the course was in really good condition.Yesterday the whole course was in need of a major renovation.The fairways were very patchy,the greens were slow,not looked after.The tees were pretty awful.If there was one word to describe it,it would be SCRUFFY.Compared to our local course in Notts,Ramsdale Park,it was very poor.Got a hot deal with Golf Now for just under £30.It is a good job we didn't pay normal green fee rate.Reviewer Rating

Loved it (despite the score)
Been wanting to play this course for years. Finally got my opportunity this weekend. 2 courses in 1. Part parkland and part links. Lovely views of the sea aong the top part of the course. Greens fast one some very testing. Shot a shocking score....but didn't care!!!!. Big thank you to all the people concerned in running the club ( including hotel staff)Reviewer Rating
