Unfortunately on this occasion, the course was not up to the standard of last year.
The course fee was reduced because of this, need to get back to the high standards of previous year !

Rough impossibly deep, light rough too deep. fairways were deep grass in places

After waiting 10 minutes in the pro shop for the guy to finish his chipping practise ??? I was told the course needed cutting. No kidding !!! What a disgrace, actually lost balls in the fairway, the greens were awful, gave up after 9 holes. Such a shame used to be a good course.

Used the online booking request and heard nothing back.
Course is in very poor condition,fairways are terrible and greens are generally dreadful.
Will not be returning to this venue.

I played here on Monday and although underfoot was pretty wet, I thought overall the course set up well and was in good condition. Will play here again.
** A big thank you to the club pro Jonathon Fleming who has been giving me short game lessons. It has really made a big difference to my game and I'm feeling a lot more confident !???? I highly recommend him.

Good test of golf. Front 9 quite technical back 9 long. Condition ok but bit more tlc and the course could be great.

Course is in amazing condition and hardly anyone playing it at all, anyone that has played the course will know its a proper challenge for any standard of golfer but if you break the hundred you should be happy. From tee to green can have no complaints at all and for the price (under £19 for Sunday morning) its fantastic value.

Not a great course the course itself was had lots of cut grass on fairway the greens were shocking overall not good

Newbold is back to its best. Its in great condition and is stiil one of the hardest council courses in the country

Recently played the course because of the beautiful weather. To be honest i was very impressed with the maintenance of the course as the fairways and greens are in great condition. Will definitely be going back.
