Fabulous course - a must play
Played here on Sunday 14th July and what a great golf club and course. The friendliness of all of the staff and members was amazing. We had a quick bite to eat before playing (bacon and mushroom bap) which was excellent. We played a couple of holes behind a junior competition (good to see a club encouraging junior golfers) and we were not held up at all - we were round in 3 and a bit hours.
The course was in great condition with the greens being quick and true - an absolute pleasure to play. The only very minor criticism would be the lack of signage for the next tee on some holes. But this was very minor and did not in any way distract from our enjoyment of the course.
Overall this course should be at the top of your list for your golf holiday to the Llyn Peninsula.

A ?must play? course.
Always wanted to take the trip to Nefyn and play the course & what a treat it is. The weather was kind initially although the wind steadily increased. Playing the 9 holes down the point is incomparable to any previous course I've played. Popping down to the Ty Coch Inn for a cheeky pint after 15 holes was a novelty, but as we had the entire 9 hole loop to ourselves, it didn't cause any issues. Overall a friendly reception, good food in the clubhouse, great course, stunning views with a pub thrown in!Reviewer Rating

Wonderful scenery, Gorgeous Course
Nefyn has been on my 'must play' list for some years, and the worry was that it wouldn't live up to expectations. On this occasion I'm happy to say that it did.The bit of the course which seems to divide opions is the 'old 9' or Point, which heads out to sea and back over a narrow peninsular. Golfers share the route with lots of tourists there for the spectacular views, so make sure your insurance is up to date. Some of the footpaths stray way closer than you might like.
The holes are a bit quirky, and I spoke to someone after the round that clearly didn't enjoy the experience, but I thought it was awesome. There are so many great looking holes on this 9. The 4th has to be played over the rocks and cliffs to find the fairway, while the 5th is played from alongside the lighthouse. At weekends these holes are closed in the afternoon, but with 27 holes you'll still get to play 18 seperate holes.
The remaining 18 holes (The Front & New) appear to be far more standard fare, although still very enjoyable and in a spectacular setting. Fairways on these holes (or rather on the Front holes that I played) are wide and friendly, and a pleasure to play. They're also a lot flatter (but not flat) than the climbs and drops that you'll face on the Point.
I didn't really get to experience the club house, but the girl in the pro shop was very helpful and welcoming.
Did I love playing here? Totally! And if you get a chance, about 100 yards from the GC car park there's an ice cream parlour that definitely deserves your attention!

Course of dramatic beauty, not to be missed
The location is unique, the holes carved in the Peninsula for the old 9 holes are great. The views are breathtaking. Only downside were the greens being slow and only average. Highly recommended.Reviewer Rating

wow what views
My brother in law is a great golfer and plays here at least once a year. I played for the first time and can see why he plays. OK there are better quality courses but I have never played anywhere like it. Some of the holes that hug the shore line are amazing. On the 'Front' I loved 3 and 4 that followed the shoreline. But then coming back on 6-8 the mountains as the backdrop are incredible.Moving to the 9 holes on The Point - very quirky. The 1st is very strange with such a blind 2nd up and over the hill. Lots of par 3s but the best hole is certainly the Pebble beach style 4th which dog legs left. Great fun driving over the gorge needing a 200+ yard carry...not for the faint of heart. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it. When i return i will try the 'New' nine instead of the Point - but the Point has to be played for the fun of it. (For any nature lovers we enjoyed pausing to watch some seals basking on rocks in the bay by the 6th tee.....not something you can claim to see at many home courses :-)

Stunning Setting
Views are terrific, some super holes and in very good condition 2 days after the course was shut for heavy snowGreens on the Front and New are very good as I guess these are a little more protected.
Well worth the trek, Stunning views and good layout prove a good test of golf and a lot of entertainment.

Stunning
Played all 3 'loops'The Old and Front are the better 2 as they both run along the cliffs and around the peninsular so offer some stunning views and golf.
The course itself is quirky and have a good layout but beware of the walkers (they personally didn't bother me)
A must play if your in the area.
