Been a few years since I played this course. I was very impressed with the work they've undertaken. Course was in amazing condition. Greens were like carpet.

moors valley golf course is a parkland course set in a family friendly country park. The course in it's self requires consideration from the tee. Playing for position can often be a better option than distance as the rough on the perimeters of the fairways can be very difficult to get out of.This venue would be perfect for a family day out as there is a Go ape tree climbing course for teenagers and play areas for the very young . With family cycling bike hire steam train picnic area woodland walks and food outlet the non golfers are also able to enjoy a day out. The course itself is a good test and once on the course a player would very soon lose sight of the country park. Best keep the ball on the fairway and think your way round.

Course is always a good test, with a couple of very long Par 4's that will still test any good hitters. The greens are always in good condition too and the surroundings are very peacful. I would highly reccommend giving this one a go.....and the 18th is just creaming out to be driven from the tee !

Good Variety
Good value for money i have played it on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. Greens are always of a good standard and the variety of difficulty makes every hole interesting. Petty flat so walking isn't an issue . Simple go play and enjoyReviewer Rating

Friendly Course
Play here on a few occasions as it's a mainly level walk. Good greens and the course is always in a good condition. Staff are always helpful and the nineteenth worth a stop by.Reviewer Rating

Good condition
Thoroughly enjoyed the round at Moors Valley, haven’t played in a long time and wasn’t expecting the course to be in such great condition.Will definitely play again and might even look at membership prices.
We were also very well looked after by all the staff, great job all.

Great Course
It was a really good course. Great layout and in fantastic condition. Greens are always the same and good to judge and it gives you confidence when coming up to the green that they will be the same all across the round. After Summer, the course has recovered very well and improvements around the course always make this course excellent to play regardless of the season.Reviewer Rating

A challenge booking this course for a society but it is in difficult times
The greens were in very good condition ,unfortunetly the fairways were a bit bare in places
One of my fav courses always seem to play well here

The course was in good condition but the greens were super-fast ( not bad for the 2nd week of Oct ) The only problem i have with moors valley is the par 4/5 holes, if you played off the whites its a par 5 but if your off the yellows you're only 20 30 yards further forward and it becomes a 460 yard par 4 !!! and there are 3 of them and only 1 real par 5.

the course is mature with fantastic scenery set in the ringwood forest. strategically placed water ditches offer thought for whether to lay up or risk the long drive. the greens are fair but could have been swept free of the worm casts to prevent a lot of bobbling balls but are well kept otherwise. I have played a number of times before but today the greenkeeper obviously favoured the draw drive or the left handed player. surprising how much the ball holds up with the wind even when the course plays through the forest. a worthy course if you are a twenties handicap challenging and for the money superb value for money.

Par 69 from the yellow and 72 off the whites is frankly ridiculous in my opinion, especially on the 15 wher there is fully 5 yards if that between the two tees. when the wind blows and it was today this is tough course to score well on. Tests all aspects of your game and you really have to consider options off the tee on some holes

Great friendly atmosphere at the clubhouse and a really enjoyable course. Front 9 a lot more challenging than the back 9 and the 17th and 18th are fantastic holes. Had a great day out and would come again and again!

Great little course, a bit of everything for the intermediate golfer
Small club, but well looked after. Food and drink is decent. Course is interesting if not the hardest, although great value for what are true greens and bunkers in good condition. Well worth a visit
Played here on a number of occasions and it is always in good condition. With all the very hot weather we have had in the south the greens were in excellent shape, green oasis amongst the brown. Easy walking course and one to be enjoyed. If you are on holiday and have a family the course is in a country park so there is plenty to occupy them.Reviewer Rating

Worth a visit
The golf course is part of the country park so offers the family something extra to do whilst you play a round. Parking is included in your round as the parking in the park is quite expensiveGood mixture of easy and hard holes. In very good condition. Fairly flat so not taxing on the legs. Enjoy

Very enjoyable course
Best facility the council offers. No range and cafe nor open really, but otherwise pretty good. True greens and rough is not too vicious. Got round in 3 hours 30 minutes, what a treat!Reviewer Rating

Great condition
Played here on a Weds morning when it was easy to book in among season ticket holders. The course was in very good condition despite a week when it had rained quite a lot. The fairways here are wide and forgiving and generally not muddy which always helps with winter golf. The greens were also in good condition and the course presented its usual challenges on some holes and a couple of Par 4s that are longer than you would usually find at other courses. A Course worth playing
I've played this course a few times and have always enjoyed playing. The course is definitely to me a course of two halves with a gentle opening two holes to a challenging and often difficult seven holes before what Is a little bit easier I feel nine.
