Challenge
Have been touring a number of local courses recently which has included some prestigious neighbours. On first view the car park and pro shop appears to be in need of a little TLC, but the staff were exceptionally friendly and the feel of an old fashioned friendly members club prevailed, rather than the antiseptic corporate feel of some of Mill Rides more illustrious / better known neighbours. However, as soon as you arrive at the first tee everything changes. This is an absolute gem of of a track. The first provides a reasonably friendly start to the round from the tee and then toughens up for the 2nd / 3rd shot. This provides a pre curser for the rest of the round. Some tough, picturesque but fair holes follow, suiting players from single to high handicap. A whole array of shots are required and you will use every club in the bag! Fantastic, fair, challenging and pretty course that I will definitely play again. Watch out for the deer!! One small criticism is hat the bunkers lack a little consistency. No terribly, but enough to be noticed, but the course design more than makes up for this - a mix of parkland, water and inland linksReviewer Rating

Society day
Haven't played here in many years and with the first rain in weeks the course has held up well with the greens running true if not fast. Still some bunkers with stones in but majority of them looked like they had good sand in them.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 20.3)

Excellent layout , good variety and great greens. Very well presented and surprisingly easy to get on to, particularly during the week. We paid £26 each - great value for money.

Good challenging course. The layout and settling was excellent. We like the Par 3 and the water features - especially the Friendship Bridge. Very beautiful country side golf course.

The course is in superb condition all round, including the best greens I've played on anywhere for a loooooooooooooong time - very true and very fast! Friendly staff and a nice clubhouse made it even more surprising that we almost played Millionaire's golf, but we did see one other group playing!!

The course is very nice and good challenge as it was very windy, only drawback I found was on Tee Times you could book a fourball for £15 each but as we were 3 we payed on arrival and were charged £30 each, also there was no food after 6:30pm

Played end of October. Some very good holes, especially par 3's. Well bunkered. Agree with previous review that the 18th green was shocking! Decent layout and with the teeofftimes discount decent value. Would highly recommend at discounted prices available.

Great course and we got a great deal so only £20 a round, greens were excellent, the couirse has a bit of water and the rough is like most course quite harsh at the moment ad even in the first cut the ball is hard to find! Well worth a visit if you live in the area, will definately play again.

Long and demanding course. Accuracy a must....some narrow fairways and five holes with water on them that comes into play.

Good course, some narrow holes and good bends where you cant see the flag. The course makes you think twice on certain holes. Greens are not flat which makes the round interesting.

A completely different course off of the whites. Long and challenging but some of the tee positions for the whites puts you back in the trees and creates an idyllic setting. Tees on 12 and 13 spring to mind. Beautiful.

Played this course with the website 1/2 price twilight deal. Very good quality course with all the ingredients you would want for a tough test. Very much recomended.
