Very challenging, definitely worth playing
Not an easy course but a very good test and definitely not a driver off every teeReviewer Rating

Challenge
Have been touring a number of local courses recently which has included some prestigious neighbours. On first view the car park and pro shop appears to be in need of a little TLC, but the staff were exceptionally friendly and the feel of an old fashioned friendly members club prevailed, rather than the antiseptic corporate feel of some of Mill Rides more illustrious / better known neighbours. However, as soon as you arrive at the first tee everything changes. This is an absolute gem of of a track. The first provides a reasonably friendly start to the round from the tee and then toughens up for the 2nd / 3rd shot. This provides a pre curser for the rest of the round. Some tough, picturesque but fair holes follow, suiting players from single to high handicap. A whole array of shots are required and you will use every club in the bag! Fantastic, fair, challenging and pretty course that I will definitely play again. Watch out for the deer!! One small criticism is hat the bunkers lack a little consistency. No terribly, but enough to be noticed, but the course design more than makes up for this - a mix of parkland, water and inland linksReviewer Rating

A tough but excellent course
I do like this place, every turn is a different challenge, some of the par threes are excellent and 10 and 11 are two really good holes. Plus the finish at 17 and 18 is very tough. Greens were absolutely fabulous, course is only let down by bunkering which had various levels of sand from loads to very little.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 106 Handicap: 18)

Very Challenging
Lovely course, great clubhouse. A proper golf course, with quicker greens than I am used to. Worth allowing a full day, to account for a breakfast, 18 holes, then some lunch in the clubhouse.Reviewer Rating

Society day
Haven't played here in many years and with the first rain in weeks the course has held up well with the greens running true if not fast. Still some bunkers with stones in but majority of them looked like they had good sand in them.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 20.3)

Mill Ride is a great golf course that should be doing better than it is. Played this week in the hot weather ball was running a mile not that made it any easier, this is a tough track. Great lay out, water on quite a few holes, bunkers a bit naff distinct shortage of sand. Still plays like a championship course just needs a bit of TLC.Reviewer Rating

Tucked away but worth finding
Friendly & fantastic course near Ascot racecourse that is generally quiet in the week. For this winter round tee boxes and greens were excellent. Shaded fairways a but wet and muddy but this is England. Rough cut down to a decent length but unless very unluck you'd stay on the fringes of the fairway. Longish course with challenging but fair holes. Evil bunkers - my playing partner saw more sand today than Lawrence of Arabia - various tee shots required over/around water hazards too.
