Really strange little course. Holes 7-9 is basically a farmers meadow with flags in them. Confusing tee start times as even with the course empty you might have to tee off on the 1st 6th 11th 17th depending on days of week/ time or if a competition on.. Friendly members though who were more than happy to point us in the right direction of the poorly signposted layout.
Might have another crack in the summer but much better courses nearby

Course condition great. However disappointed to be shouted at by a member for starting on the wrong tee (Which Turned out to be the right tee) I have never been asked so many times if i had paid a green-fee which made me feel very unwelcome. Pro shop staff very helpful and welcoming same as bar and catering. The manager was very keen for me to join and gave me all the info... It could be such a nice venue as you can see that the green keeping team work hard on the course. However the members unfortunately let it down. Don't think il be going back.....

recently played this little gem of a course. me and a couple of mates played and i must say they were some of the best greens ive played on this year. not the longest course but makes you think about your golf shots. the course condition was excellent, one of the greenstaff even raked the bunker for me after i had played out of it. we had a nice pint in the bar after too.

It’s all about golf

Excellent green-keeping standards make this good course great. Add to that the welcoming “hub” with Andy your enthusiastic host, and a considerate and cheerful membership, and you get the feel of a course where it’s all about the golf and less about the club. The narrow track is well wooded, and not short. The green fee was reasonable for the locality, but I also donated a sleeve of new Srixons to the thickish rough, occasional struggling heather: club choice is key to score well. Sub-400 yards par 4s typically needing iron accuracy of the tee, the greens need approaching with caution, but run true and quick. Lovely day out.

Absolutely lovely

This is a lovely looking, well maintained course with an excellent clubhouse and good staff. Could do with more sand in some of the bunkers but the greens are smooth and true at the moment. The fairways are in great shape. Plenty of activity seen to keep them that way. There are several holes where some serious thought is required from the tee box.

Warmest of welcomes

I don't think I've ever played a course where they do so much to be welcoming. Everyone, and I mean everyone, couldn't be friendlier.
The course was rather heavy on the day we played but it was a joy to go round it.

Great Value

We played a society day for £68 which included 27 holes; breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Greens were great, fairways have a few raggedy areas (but clearly controlled and part of the game) and there must be a bit of a challenge round one another when it gets busy there as the far corner of the course plays round each other quite a lot.
Dealt with all our dietry needs.
Lovely staff

A short course and if you are straight from the tee you will score well. Not too many hazards and pretty flat. My two best scores ever on this course and only played it twice !!!!!
Played in August when bone dry for a couple of months and fairways showing signs of wear. Green were still good.

This was autumn golf, the fairways had been worked on and they were scruffy. The greens were good despite being recently spiked (they ran quick and true). This is a nice course with a good layout, it doesn't have a large length, but it plays long, you will find yourself hitting some long second shots. They are currently doing some renovation work in the clubhouse, but it will soon be fully functional. The food was steak pie and veg (it was very tasty), also the bacon sandwiches were great.

Enjoyed the course on the 1st occasion. Its possible to start on the 1st 6th or 10th & at different times we were told all 3! all veruy confusing while fitting in a 2 ball between a ladies day & swindell. Fairways superb as were the greens & tees recently maintained. Narrow fairways in places so a poor day to choose to drive innaccuratley. Looking forward to going back.
