Fantastic course worth visiting, would definatly be returning one day soon, great course, great bar and outside seating.

Not very impressed with the condition of some of the fairways
For a so called premium facility the overall condition of the course wasn't good

Needs a re-think
I've played Mere several times now and each time I expect better. There's no doubt the setting, hotel, pro-shop and facilities are excellent, but the course is a real let down. Yesterday we were charged ?50 as mid-week visitors. The tees were poor, greens were terrible, fairways in places should have been closed. Shame to say but I doubt i'll return.Reviewer Rating

Tough yet enjoyable
Mere is a Course I love playing but only once has it returned the love. It's tough if you're not on form off the tee.It can also be a walking challenge so a buggy is advisable.
I?d recommend it, but it's expensive.

fairways were poor not much grass on them, bear lies, general condition of course poor lack of TLC. GREEN quick but true.

Stunning
Fantastic course.. first time here and will return.. greens in great condition.. tough course some nice houses .. only promblem there was an obnoxious four ball in front of us(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 92 Handicap: 20.4)

If it was good in a hurricane, it must be decent
Played very much out of season in mid-October. The was a hurricane blowing with gusts up to 50mph but normally it was about 20mph. The light was weird, the leaves were on the ground and with the wind it proved difficult finding balls in the leaves. However in summer this must be a great course with lots of different types of par 4, think most of the par 3s are about the same as I hit 8 iron off most of them.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 12.4)

Nice but not all that
goGot a deal to play on Sunday afternoon of bank holiday. ?45 quid to play millionaire's golf (played through a 2 ball on second and then saw no-one else) was about fair value. Good last 4 holes but not particularly interesting layout particularly on front 9. Greens were ok but expected a better standard, bobbly in places. Enjoyed the round but a little disappointed overall. Service and facilities excellent.Reviewer Rating

Fun but wish it was all like the last 4 holes
Nice course, absolutely loved the last 4 holes especially. For the chat about the course and set up it hasn't been that well looked after and the course wasn't it the best of nick(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20.2)

Lovely lay out, played in fantastic weather, tees and fairways as good as I have seen at Mere. Greens were a little disappointing still evident drainage lines a little spoiling, decent enough value when you get £30 on tee off times

I played at The Mere in Knutsford yesterday, what a lovely course that is. Fantastic scenery, great fairways and some very quick greens. I found the course quite challenging, I shot 119 and found myself in several bunkers, however I did par 2 holes so I was happy with that to be honest.
Not sure I would have been quite so happy if I had to pay £75 for a round of Golf, luckily we got on for £30 due to some greens still being shortened due to the Winter.
It's also a shame the service by the resort staff wasn't as impressive as the course, otherwise the experience would have been great.
Would love to return in Summer, hopefully the attitude of the staff might have improved with the course. Value for money at £30 not £75!
