Played the Rothschild course today which was a big improvement on the Rosebery course.
Greens were in good condition and soft enough to hold a ball, not that quick though which was surprising.
lots of water, rough and bunkers to catch your ball/balls if not online.
Tees were again very poor.

Course was VERY wet with lots of mud and casual water making footing difficult and no run on the ball on fairways. Greens generally in good condition but seem to be suffering from moss and deseased in patches.

The course is very nice, especially the hilly one (not sure which one that is). They have pretty good practice facilities (a driving range and practice green in close proximity to the 1st tees).
Parking can be a bit tight on busy days as members also use the club for tennis and the gym.
The green fees are quite expensive in my opinion and I certainly wouldn't join there as the joining fee and yearly subs are way over priced - spend a bit more and you can go to Woburn!!

Very nice setting and friendly people. Always an enjoyable visit to Mentmore and 2 solid golf courses!

Nice course. Nice condition. Holes vary - good challange. Good value on 2 fore 1 @ £25 each - expensive otherwise!
