Typical corporate golf course, although the course is a lovely layout the condition was poor, losing balls in fairway and a 5 hour round just isn’t how I enjoy my golf.

Good course.... Pretty wet

Quite an open course... But plenty of hazards.
Difficult round as no carry on ball and was plugging. All in all, given the previous weather we have had, not bad at all.

Tough greens in alot of places

Had alot of rain the day before and so some bunkers were waterlogged. There was no chance of the ball running on along the fairway and the semi-rough.
Greens were undulating and difficult for the most part.

Having said all that, it was enjoyable.

good course

First round with Les Edwardson who plays of 6 and I can see why very straight very steady. The course played well greens a little slow in places however it had rained over night will play again soon providing I can get the same tee fee and not the expensive £55 per round

Stayed for the weekend at the hotel. Impressed all round. Course is testing and drained very well after a rainy start.

Very much a "hotel" course. Greens had been recently spiked and were not showing at their best, otherwise course was in very good shape. Not the easiest of courses and you really need a strokesaver to effectively plot a way round. Prices in bar were close to extortionate at over £10 for a guiness and 2 very small and poor quality coffees.

a sand based coarse i found the greens very hard to hold the ball,a lot of the bnkers are very hard with very little soft sand and lots of stones.spoilt a little bit at the moment with a new drainage pipe being fitted.

I've played this course many times at various times of the year. Best avoided in wet months as the new drainage not quite settled yet & the ground gets very boggy & heavy under foot. Plays well in the dry and rewards accurate golf but severely punishes those wandering shots as the rough can be trecherous.

Nice course, a typical Marriott golf course, good greens and nice fairways. Can't comment on price per round as 'all' Marriott courses are free to members. But apparantlt they do take 2-4-1's.
A basic practice area, no tee-up machines or bays and a little pricey at £4.50 for 50 balls!
Unfortunatly it suffers from the Usual Marriott spike-bar for golfers... More hotel based then golf club!!
