A very well kept course

6 of us played Mapperley as part of our annual golf weekend away and were all very impressed. The course is very interesting, very challenging and very well kept. It also offers some fantastic views. Word of warning though, make sure you read those greens properly as most of them are very deceptive and actually do the opposite to what the naked eye is telling you. Very confusing when a seemingly uphill putt is gaining pace as it whistles past the hole!

Fantastic place

Friendly guy in pro shop to welcome to us course.
Tasty bacon cob pre- golf.
Course in great condition and groundstaff maintaining greens

Not keen on the course politics, everyone seems to be in a rush. Members not too friendly to outsiders.

A shortish but challenging course. Generally well maintained. 1 bunker had weeds in. The greens had just been done with the spiking machine so hard to judge them but very enjoyable day. Staff were friendly. Drinks were expensive.
