further to my previous review. I went to the golf course today with my two sons and a friend. My sons are aged 6 and 8. it would have been a treat for them after finishing school to come round a golf course with their dad and family friend. The attitude and arrogance of the owner of the club was something to behold, instead of politely saying that my kids couldn't go round for insurance purposes ( even though no-one would be insured on this glorified pitch and putt anyway) he tried to rent me clubs because somehow that made it that my kids are insured. Then told me to go and take them to play football instead. I thought that golf isn't supposed to be an elitist sport. I personally will never go there again.

Good for non-golfers, families and beginners
There are literally no facilities, not even toilets, but there is a pub nearby. This is a short 9 hole course. All but two greens can be driven with a driver. Greens aren't the best but it's a good laugh if you want to get your non-golfing friends involved as they can hire clubs for a few quid. Some holes do present a challenge as a wayward drive would be OB. A 5 iron off each tee would give a short iron into most greens bar 2. This course plays very easy for a slope 113 in my opinion. I shot 6 over (over 18) but play off 17.9. There is just a single set of tees, the teeing ground is just an area of the "fairway" rather than a specific teeing area. \\I loved playing golf here as a kid - it's a superb and good value entry to golf. However, if you're looking for anything more look elsewhere.Reviewer Rating

Very short (less than 5000yds) with no Par 5's and no individual hole over 400 yds so ideal for learners (like me!) although some fairways are rather narrow resulting in wayward drives often being punished.
Course condition isn't great, although I have only played this course during winter, and at a mere £7.80 for 18 holes you get what you pay for. It makes it a good course to pay inbetween 'proper' 18 holers.

Great little course if you've not got much time
Always get a great welcome, course in good condition despite weather. St Andrews it's not, but a good place to learn on, and a pleasant round.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: )
