Played the course twice over the first weekend in July, the staff and the accommodation were excellent, the greens are in great condition, but the rest of the course was just really scruffy, the semi rough had been cut and the grass left, the bunkers were a disgrace, Inaccept that the previous week had been wet, so either repair the bunkers or make them GUR.It is a real shame, while the front 9 are a bit up and down, the back 9 has some really interesting holes, but because of the condition of the course the 50 people in our group will not be returning.

Very hilly course with lots of water. Played recently and was held for 2 hours due to 'Fog' but members were allowed out, very poor service for visitors. That together with the fact that there was no food available for lunch leads me to my score. I will not be playing there again.

Needs some TLC

Interesting course layout. Some good holes, but badly in need of some TLC.

Played as part of a corporate promotion so the round was free. Would of been upset if I had paid for the round as the standard of the greens, Tee's and fairways has really gone downhill compared with the last time I played. Although the course was very wet for the start of the golf season I expected a lot more.

Had high hopes for this course after staying in the hotel once before but was a little disappointed by both the condition of the course and the interest shown by staff upon arrival. £2 for a bottle of coke, a day after paying £1.10 at another course was a bit steep.
Asked my friend if he fancied having a drink after playing but the attitude shown on arrival towards us turned us away from spending any more money.
The course needs a little attention and if the grass is being cut, it would be nice for he cuttings to be removed to avoid the 17th looking so untidy.

could be a really good course. Probably worse tees I have played off, and for time of year by not the best greens ive played on (played Sutton green week before and they were like billard table). Considering all e-mails I receive mention Tony Jacklins involvement with club feel it doesn't live up yo his name. As I say shame as good testing course but we felt need some work to bring it up to TJ standard

I took a group of 12 of us to play here 2 weeks ago and I have to say we were disappointed. The course itself is fine, very long and a bit dull but it's OK. The clubhouse is decent and we were looked after for food afterwards very well. The issue was with the sound from the M40 which a number of holes play alongside. Maybe we were unlucky as it was a windy day and perhaps it's quieter normally but I have never played on a noisier course. I can't believe that other reviewers haven't mentioned it!! I wouldn't go again.

Interesting but long and hilly course with some challenging holes over a lot of water. The greens are in need of a bit of TLC and the rough definitely needs trimming back.

Played on a groupon voucher which was good value, the clubhouse was very nice and a lovely bacon roll & coffee but I must say the course was not in very good condition even for winter, I think this could be a very nice track but it had the look of a club that has run out of money with many unmaintained areas and undefined fairways that were full of moss. It was a cold overcast day but the course was empty real shame as it could be very good.
