Greens were disappointing and ball not running smoothly. Great day for golf.

The course is in excellent condition despite a very wet winter. Great weather and a great golf course.

Fantastic golfing challenge on a very natural and fair golf course. Hard and fast running, always presents options for how to play shots - along the ground or in the air. True but complex and hard to read greens, Beautiful coastal location completes a great course.

Once again a stunning course in fantastic condition, well worth the drive down to play here. Lunch in the clubhouse was excellent and we were well looked after by the pro before we went out, all in all a great days golf.

What a challenge this course was. Really enjoyed the round and the true test of our ability was when the wind really started blowing at the turn. The Back 9 at times was unplayable with the strong gusts and I struggled with a 49. Got given some vouchers for half price to come back within the next 12 months so will definitely makethe effort. If this course was more accessible it would b holding some big competitions.

What a great initiation to Links Golf. The awesome first tee and immaculate holes to finish, being buffetted by the wind on the kintyre coast.

Great links golf, classic first hole and an eerie moonscape landscape throughout. Really nice design and some tough holes. Well worth getting off the beaten track.

Once again the greens are in poor condition and the course is in need of being tidied up generally.

Wonderful links in great condition this June. I agree with the other reviewers, the last four holes are comparatively weak, but imagine if Old Tom had swapped the 1st and 2nd with the parallel 17th and 18th and the final shot had been across the Atlantic into the prevailing!

Some friends and I travelled down to play the Dunes course as a freebie with the Bunkered vouchers. As it was a long drive for us we agreed to stay overnight and play this course whilst in the area.

Glad we did this because it’s a must play, it’s absolutely fantastic. Fairways, tee’s, greens all in great condition. Is enjoyable to play, with some stunning holes and views. For £65 it’s bargain. If this course was on mainland Scotland the price would be in excess of £100 easy.

If you’re a golfer who enjoys a good course, go and play it you won’t be disappointed.

From the epic drive to get there, and the epic first tee shot (how much of the Atlantic will you take on with your opening hit), this course is a beauty.

It follows a classic links layout, 9 holes out and 9 holes back, winding through the sand dunes. Blind drives and approach shots abound. The first 9 holes are stunning, and holes 10-16 are ferocious: we played on a windy day (there may be no other kind here), the two par 5s were borderline 4-shotters, one of the par 4s was out of reach in two, and the par 3s needed 4-iron, hybrid and driver. Even the short par 4 had a huge sloping green! The last 2 holes are usually regarded as the weakest on the course, but they give you time to pause and reflect on what you have just been through.

To misquote Public Enemy - believe the hype, this may be the finest links course in Scotland.
