What the club says: Situated just outside Bury, the 9 hole golf course at Lowes Park can be played as an 18 golf course, which will keep the discerning golfer happy, for which it measures 6014 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the last hole. Not the greatest distance you will agree, but the par of 70 suggests that there will be plenty to keep you busy on this course.

Nice course worth playing
First time playing Lowes Park a 9 holer near Bury. Small clubhouse, no pro shop. Booked online through the club's website. Small putting green outside clubhouse. Playing off temp tees for winter and fairway mats on closely mown. Course a little wet in areas not surprising given the recent wet weather. Greens very nice for time of year if a little slow. A couple of longish par 4s. Not too bad walking wise with a couple of inclines but nothing to strenuous. Course I found quite mundane with only one standout hole being the 8th/17th a nice downhill par 3 with water in play especially on the 17th when played from different tee. Still decent pint in the clubhouse post round. Would I return, probably not but worth playing if not played before imo.Reviewer Rating

Good Course
A little hidden gem. I have driven past this course for many years and always said to myself "we must go play there sometime", well we did and we weren't disappointed at all.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 96 Handicap: 19.4)

The course is in fantastic condition and greens run true. Lots of work going on to improve. Club house very welcoming with friendly members. Still can't believe you can get this level of golf course for only a Tenner!! A hidden gem.

A well kept course in good condition. Not too difficult once you get to know it. A nine hole course with eight shared greens and four separate tees to make it eighteen. Pay and play for a tenner and not usually too busy.

First time for me at Lowes Park GC and really enjoyed the afternoon. Shame the bar wasn't open at the end of the round, but will play again.

Course not flat and boring but not overly undulating. Some decent challenging holes. The internal oob on 4 and 5 makes the long drive alot tighter. Members were very helpful and chatty not stuffy like some courses. Greens in very good condition for a wet oct. Damp but roll very true. Worth a go if your looking to low of the cob webs maybe not the course for the lower handicap championship style course player. I thoroughly enjoyed it

The course is played over 9 holes twice very good course for a novice like me or a Sunday golfer who wants to have a pleasant knock, if you are looking for a bigger challenge then maybe not for you. Overall a fantastic insight into the game of golf would recommend to anybody.
