Lovely course. Lots of variety to the holes. Only one hole that was a straight up and down. Would definitely play again

Played here for the first time today, very impressed, superb value for money £8.course is well kept,and yes most of the holes have small greens,but this only helps to improve your accuracy, which can't be a bad thing. highly recommend going, and we will be returning in the near future... well done lofthouse hill

Great course for what you pay (£14 on a Saturday). I've been playing it for the last 3 years & it's generally improved. I didn't think much of the greens 3 years ago, much better now.
Always had a friendly welcome in the clubhouse & the members are all a friendly bunch (even for Yorkshiremen!) Seriously, I've always found the local members very friendly.
Great to see the club back on it's feet after the dreadful fire.

The course is very hit and miss. The greens are some of the best I have seen anywhere including 5 star courses. Honestly they are that good. The fairways on the back 9 are at present covered in dock and Daisy's and weed and are as hard as concrete with absolutely no give in the ground. The facilities are adequate and the clubhouse is friendly however the same cannot be said of the groundstaff at the course. I've played the course a few times and been taken aback by the rude attitude of the people chugging around on mowers etc. looking to earlier reviews this isn't a new problem either. It's a shame as the course could be something special with a more professional approach.
