Cracking breakfast including haggis beforehand. Slick greens very true. Monstrous uphill par three second hole. Nice views of the loch. Well worth a visit. Made very welcome. A little unusual too, so if you are on a golf tour it adds a bit of variety to the trip.

I stumbled across this course by mistake and what a gem. Friendly staff and groundsmen, lovely scenery and a course that presents a challenge and in excellent condition from tee to green. I wish I lived closer, I'd play here every week

I played loch Maben in May 2013 with 2 friends and had 2 rounds in the same day. We were lucky with the weather and played in 25degrees!! We all thought the course was really enjoyable and a really good test of golf. We enjoyed some really good food at lunch and a couple of pints of cider!! Seemed to make me play better! The greens were in very good condition compared to neighbouring courses and considering the weather in Scotland. Whilst we were there the green keepers informed us that it was the first time this year that they have cut the fairways due to no grass growth!! The course was in excellent condition throughout.
It's cost us £40.00 for 2 rounds which was more than we had paid for other courses in the area but still not expensive. Thanks for a great day and will certainly play again. Cheers phil winnard.

A good little club

We received a very warm welcome; even a free mug of coffee
The course is typical of those around this part of D&G a parkland course on a few hills with trees and bushes to lose you ball in. The teeing grounds are well maintained as are the greens the fairways are well kept too, but narrow in places as a result of the terrain.
We visit quite often 2/3 time a year and would recomend it to anyone

Annual Weekend away and off to a cracking start as the welcome was good and the course was excellent. All parts of the course were in super condition and the greens were slick and difficult to hold the incoming shots. The back to back Par 3 2nd

Society visit

We stopped off to play at this course on our way to Troon. 14 of us and as one we agreed what a smashing little track it was. The staff are very friendly and the course was in an excellent condition, green sso true. Very scenic to the point it distracts from your golf. If your in the area visit, you won't be sorry.

Fantastic course worth visiting

A fantastic course worth visiting. Very pretty and some lovely holes and some testing ones too. Great clubhouse, welcoming staff and great value for money. Nice big lake to avoid on many of the holes.

Great little course off the beaten track and well worth a visit if you can play around Dumfries. Has a mixture of challenging holes where accuracy is necessary. The greens were fantastic and the course wouldn’t look out of place as a second course at a resort.

Fantastic course, great layout. Definitely the best course in Dumfries and Galloway. Duncan and his team of green keepers have done an awesome job in keeping this course in great condition.

Beautiful lakeside venue

A fantastic find in the Scottish hills. A beautiful and quaint course set around a lake. Tight in places with long par 3's and very picturesque. Lovely surroundings and very friendly locals and staff. Very small car park but well worth a visit. Lovely food.
