Great Public Course
The greens were excellent but the fairways a little parched in places. The public courses in Troon (Lochgreen, Darley and Fullarton) are very popular indeed so it is a good idea to book a tee time. I have been playing these courses for nearly 50 years and will keep coming back!Reviewer Rating

You Get What You Pay For
Played last week on a trip to Scotland and as per the title 'you get what you pay for' in comparison to some of the more prestigious venues nearby. We used it to have a knock around before playing a couple of more challenging courses over the weekend.
Pro shop staff were really friendly and a plus point.
The green fee was £31.00 and the course was wet and not in the greatest condition with rabbit holes everywhere, dog walkers everywhere and the general public using it as a shortcut to get somewhere !
The course itself is relatively wide open with not much danger of losing many bal'sl and so should suit all handicaps.
Overall the price paid was fair for what we got so I have no complaints but would not rush back to play it again.

Inland links course
The course has excellent turf and some long challenging holes. Greens are usually firm and fast.Good drives are rewarded by plenty of fairway roll.

This is the fist time back since the renovation and what a great job. The course is still very challenging and can offer a game for any level, don't hesitate just book and play it.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 25.1)

Generally, excellent greens and some great links type holes. I was really disappointed however with the lack of maintenance that seems to be getting carried out. Some holes are worse than others but pitch marks are everywhere some of which are days or weeks old. There also is an issue with rabbit burrows which although not the courses fault don't appear to be getting repaired quickly. Shame as course has some great potential
