Tight, but beautiful holes

On several holes, leave the driver in the bag. Its tight and you get some wicked bounces off the side of each fairway. We played in May, course was dry and the ball ran and ran, sometimes into trouble. Lovely surrounding. Greens lovely, quite fast.

Great Day

We had a late tee time, the course was ferly empty so we got round in 3.5hrs, there is water on a few holes so be carful ( ponds and streams ) , but greens and tees are good.

Better than Expected

Have played Lingfield for many years and was pleasantly surprised at a recent visit. The Fairways are tee blocs were well prepared and worth the Green Fee. The Green have been recently treated and need a bit of rain to wash away the last of the sand but were OK. Bunkers could be tidied up around the edges and would look much nicer to the eye.

Unplayable bog

The layout of the course was fine and the greens were in good condition. The fairways and teeboxes were unplayable mudfields. Players were walking off the course halfway as the conditions were so bad.

It might be a decent course in the summer but I'm in no hurry to return.

Good enough if you get a cheap deal

We got a ?Hot Deal? from GolfNow. Under ?20 for a round. Seemed like a reasonable price for a normal round here, it was not particularly interesting and the condition was not great. It is definitely a hotel course and all that comes with that. Practice facilities are good though. Much better places around that offer more value for money.

Good course but bit of a walk so would recommend a trolley at least- especially if playing off the whites

Always a difficult course

My local course, the first 2 holes are a good warm up for what is a the most difficult park of the course - holes 3 to 5 make life very difficult for you. Entering the woods you will almost certainly lose balls as a amateur. If you manage to find the fairway the trees have sucked all the moisture out so your playing off hard ground. Get through those three holes and your golden. Opens up and becomes very enjoyable. A little more attention to the fairway conditions and I’d enjoy it even more

Excellent value

My first round at this course. I played mid afternoon and the course wasn't very busy. The greens in particular were in excellent condition. It is easy to ruin your score on some holes which are quite tight. It is fairly hilly in places and there were many people out walking their dogs on the many paths that cross the fairways. This did not distract from a very pleasant round.
