Good course, worth a visit
An old favourite of mine, greens in perfect condition. Been playing Leven for years and it's improving all the time.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 84 Handicap: 12.4)

big greens
Great course in good conditionThoroughly enjoyed it
Big greens seemed to help me hits lots of GIR

I found that leven links was a fantastic course that provided a great challenge all the way round. I would however say that the greens were very hard to get the ball to stop on.

Beautiful views, we got a fantastic day, pretty calm but the wind came on stonger and it became a harder course. Course is in in really good condition especially the greens.
Forgot my GPS and there's no markers on the course so that was really tricky in places.
Didn't go in the clubhouse but the pro shack is being maintained in time for next year.
Enjoyed the day, plan to return at some point

Great example of a links course with nice greens. 18th is a cracker of a hole and there are lots of challenges out there.

A great golf course with a fantastic finishing hole. The greens were true but a little slow compared to most links courses I've played. Well worth playing

Leven is quite simply a terrific natural Links Course
There is not a single poor hole but he best is saved to last where the 18th is truly memorable and was voted a few years ago as second hardest closing hole in Scotland ( only Carnoustie beat it)
A terrific clubhouse for Leven Golfing Society which has a timeless quality to it as you would expect from the 11th oldest golf club in the world

Played Leven in Gents open (medal) on 18/8/13. On first impressions on arrrival the golf course doesnt seem to give you the wow factor but that changes very quickly. This golf course is absolutley great it has everything you want from a links course - big greens , double fairways, natraul contour changes in fairway, long/short par 4s , quirky par 3s, deep pot bunkers & a finishing hole that is as good as any. We played this course on a day when there had been plenty of rain an was playing a bit receptive , there was a wind but i dont think it was too bad (for Leven). If i was wver in the region again I would 100% play leven and would reccomend it . We met the club captain and he was an absolute star , charismatic , funny and had storys that had us crying with laughter.
