Excellent value for money

We played here early July 2022. The course is a very solid and enjoyable one and the greens were in impeccable condition. At £30 it represents superb value for money. The welcome from the pro was friendly and he gave us some great advice. In terms of holes it's always nice to start with a driveable par 4. The fourth hole was a great hole, playing back towards the castle wall. The fifth hole might benefit from a sign saying 'Just hit an iron!' The course was quiet when we visited but I think some of the drives might feel a bit tight if there were a lot of other golfers around with you hitting over green etc. Also the hole in the very far corner, maybe #13 or #14 or something, with the water to the right of the green could have some of those fake birds of prey you have on some courses to stop the wildfowl spoiling the green and surrounding areas. Overall though a highly enjoyable day out and somewhere I'd definitely play again

Teed off 10:00 and was in the bar for 13:30 . Plenty on the course but we had no waiting on the tee or had others pushing behind, excellent ????. The course was good to very good and the greens were excellent.
Beers weren't bad either we will book again

Great value

A solid golf course. There are quite a few interesting features such as castle walls that add to the experience. The 4th (Seawall) is a great hole playing back to the castle. The greens are excellent. They don’t have a lot of break so take this into account when putting. Back 9 seems a bit easier. Great value for £30. Friendly welcome from the pro shop.

Nothing spectacular about this course, but every hole is solid and testing. When the wind gets up there are some very challenging shots and it does test your club selection. It was really well looked after. A couple of temp greens were in play on the day, but that's no unexpected considering the weather we had at the time.

This review would've been so different 6 months ago. I joined in winter 2020 and have been advised that a levy year on year is being imposed on members but new members are getting a 10% discount. Decided not to renew. Course has seemingly gone from being playable in winter to closed as much as it is open or at least severely restricted, if you are playing in a one off game then go for it, decent course without being earth shattering. First few holes are interesting. 4th used to be so much better but changes made to protect the safety of walkers. This could be so much more if they listened more and weren't so set in their ways. Potential to be excellent rather than just quite good. Greens are superb in the summer months. I would recommend for value and if you are in the area. Not to travel any distance to play it especially. I would play again but I certainly wouldn't join again.

Unfriendly and unprofessional

We had booked online £25 each for a round. We go into the club shop, the guy behind the counter has absolutely no interest in us. He carries on working. He then shouts over, only 11 holes open and you can’t play on the fairways, give me a tenner each. Let me get something straight. Leasowe you should have contacted us and told us the situation. That way we wouldn’t have travelled in the first place. Unprofessional to say the least. Also you keep sending me emails with regards to your so called amazing winter membership offer. Are yous having a laugh? Your simply enticing people into a winter membership knowing fine well they will never get a decent round of golf. Shame on you leasowe
