Lovely course, right off the beaten track. Picturesque. Good food. Lodge accommodation is great. (Poor network signals - but not necessarily a bad think to get away from everyday stuff.)

Excellent course. As a beginner one of the more fun courses to play. Scenic yet challenging and not as busy as other public courses.

Have just returned from Lakeside Lodge for annual golf weekend. The course, accomodation and facilties never fail to impress. Course should be easy but yardage and usual windy conditions can trip up any player. Greens are very well maintained and usually fairly rapid with gentle undulations. Course is FLAT but is still a pretty course. With bowling, bar and restaurant there is plenty to do. New Health Spa opened as well. Evenings are a bit quiet so if you want lively maybe not for you.

Course in excellent condition and good for all levels of golf. If staying for a weekend break, the lodges are 100%, food good. There is a 4 lane 10 pin bowling rank on site which is good fun. Only downside is the bar area could do with being a bit bigger to accommodate larger numbers of people. Overall though a good weekend away location.

Lovely course hidden away

Nice golf complex near St Ives, good pro shop well stocked with some bargains. Driving range good value. Course not too demanding and hardly any water despite it's name. Bunkers are good but greens are not so. Friendly golfers, plenty of ladies groups out. Will definitely be back.

First time I’ve played here. Good fun to be had as it’s tricky to go wrong off the tee. The fairways are very generous in parts , but the greens are quite well protected with bunkers in places. If you hit the ball far, this will be a walk in the park, but if not it’s a fair test, made all the more enjoyable by the fact you are in the middle of nowhere, it is so peaceful here with no road noise or distractions. Disappointing that the bar had no draught beer for some reason, only bottles, maybe a Covid related supply issue but not really good enough. Ended up going into nearby Pidley for a pint instead.

The weather was good, a little cold. The course itself was a fair challenge in that there were holes that suited both right and left handed players. Of course if you can shape your shots it was not a problem. the greens were a bit bobbly and firm it was difficult to drop and stop. You have to land the ball in front and let it roll on. An enjoyable course and the staff in the restraunt were helpful and friendly

We paid £20 for a twilight round. Parts of the course were unplayable, the greens were not very good. I know its been very wet lately and it was good the course was open, but I think the price should have reflected the course conditions a bit better. We will return in the summer.

This is a relatively young course, but is well maintained mostly. There are several short par fours at least two which are drivable by the average player, but there is plenty of danger with OOB and water featuring on many holes. The best holes are probably the par three third and sixteenth, together with the challenging 405 yard par 4 fourth. The course is pay and play with a green fee discount system for members. The pro shop is well stocked, with a friendly team to help you. There are also three other courses, the nile hole Manor course, six hole Church course and a nine hole pitch and putt, which is very well maintained. Driving range and a reasonable clubhouse also available.
