Played Ladbrook with friends recently on what was a lovely sunny day. I have to say I was really disappointed in the condition of the greens, proving very soft and bumpy, managed to score reasonably considering

Greens looked very good but putted really slowly and very bumpy, clubhouse nice and friendly along with pro, the layout is good but a few holes you're teeing off at the side of the last green !! a little dangerous if anyone's wayward.
Useful driving range for a quick warm up with mini chipping area and green !
all in all in good condition but not great !

A thinking mans course
A course where you simply can't pull the driver out of the bag on every par 4 and 5. Clever brook and streams make you have to think about how you will play each hole. The greens had just been maintained which made them a bit slow coupled with the heavy downpour it made putting hard work. I imagine they are tough greens after a dry spell. The clubhouse was lovely although I did not use them to their fullest. The other players were welcoming and friendly.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 19.1)

Extremely hot day but the course was a pleasure to play but very difficult.
Good atmosphere in the club very friendly staff and good food, a must to return again soon.

Well maintained greens, bunkers and fairways and a very pretty course which calls for good course management and some good committed play. I loved most of the holes except for the ones i messed up but the 17th was my favourite. Ditch and the bunkers guarding the elevated green whilst avoiding trees. Peoplewise Staff and club members were very friendly and their food was nice. A very enjoyable day out with friends. 23 Players on the day shot 44, 37, and 36 x 6 etc.

Friendly pro shop. Lovely food an drink. Course was in very good condition, fairways were fairways and the greens were fantastic. Some great holes and you really had to think about your shots with a stream meandering through the course and narrow fairways.Would love to play again, and hopefully get a better score.

Superb
Superbly maintained course in stunning surroundings. Whole course was in excellent condition with exceptional greens. A good challenge with plenty of hazards to avoid and greens that are fast, true and undulating to really test your putting.Reviewer Rating
