Played here with some friends when we arrived some moody lady told us we can't play the Maine course because we are juniors. So we played the second hall is was is a field with some golf holes in it. The club house look like a jumble sale full of random things will not be going back. Worst course i have played

it gets a bit boring after a while and not much of a challenge and only two par 3 on our course which was disappointing.After about hole 13 the lady from the office arrived on her buggy asking us to play faster she said she had a phone call from some miserable sod about our slow play but not once was there anyone behind us waiting to play a shot.Obviously four balls (our party)are going to be slightly slower than people playing on their own or the people using the electric buggys. On the knotty hill website it says the are a "friendly club and offer a warm welcome to all" it also says practice and play in relaxed surroundings which is a damn lie.We were so incensed after this rude woman approached us that our game fell to bits and it put a sour taste in our mouths .We certainly won't return to this course and i certainly wouldn't recommend it to any of our friends.

Dukes course
Played course E (Dukes), 9 holes. Undemanding. Couple of blind shots. Several raised greens, but few bunkers. Not a long course. This looks very much what it is, a course created out of farmland. The greens are extremely poor, grass too long and bobbly. My neighbour's lawn is better kept. The fringes were rather threadbare. No signage on the tees, and no indication of hole topology. Very dry conditions, course is a lacking in the way of signage, bins around tees etc. Some greens are very small, But a good round was had by all, will try the other course next time around.

Very municipal.
Played courses C&D recently, and the lasting impression made by the first and last few holes is unfortunate. In between there are some real good holes, but the first and last few are really unspectacular.
