What a gem! In a village of only 1200 people to have such a great course is just unbelievable. Immaculately kept, a good test of course management and stunning scenery. It may be short by modern standards but some of the short par 4's are difficult with elevated greens, burns across fairways etc. If you are visiting the Aviemore area and like golf this course must be 1st on the list to play. I have played 3 other courses in the area and Kingussie is the best.

A true Highland Golf Course, but in great condition. A pleasure to play, and so different from anything in England. I loved the 15th...about 90 yards long and 90 feet down. What fun...and such a pleasure to see so many young people with wonderful manners playing the course. Makes your heart feel good.

Quality course, majestic setting....
Had to change my tee time, it wasn't an issue at all...so we rocked up at the new time.....it was a damp miserable day when I played but the gentleman in the pro shop couldn't have been more helpful.I made a few souvenir purchases for friends, including 3 really nice shirts at a very reasonable price, unlike most places!
I then had a quick swing, putt and was away, some really brilliant par 3s. Each one was very different from the last or any others, twice they come back to back ...not often you have a downhill par 3 over a gorge, road, river and it's only 90yards!.
Tough in the conditions of high winds and torrents of rain we played in....stunning course scenery doesn't do it justice it blew us away of the 150 plus courses that I've played this one felt like one of the most magical yet! Even the rain did not stop us viewing and commenting how beautiful it was many times!
Despite the condition out there the course held up really well, allowed some run and the greens were magnificent and true....
Afterwards we warmed back up, next to the fire ???? indoors, was served by a lovely lady who makes a mean cup of coffee. Chatted to some locals and the gentleman from the pro shop again....
Unbelievable price to join this course, of only I was a local...it's a no brainer, nothing was too much trouble.....thanks masses to all at Kingussie.

Another beautiful course in the Highlands, not overly long but still a great test, with a couple of tricky par 4's back to back on the back nine. The stars though are the two par 3's (7 and 15), both off elevated tees, and both over the river that runs through the course. Two of the prettiest par 3's anywhere I've played. Add to that the friendly welcome and the views of the Caingorms and it doesn't get much better!(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 82 Handicap: 11.5)

Hidden highland gem

Hidden gem
This course is without doubt a true hidden gem. From th staff in the club house to the greenkeepers on course and even the other players who invited me join them for another round the following day. The course itself is not long but it does make you think carefully before each shot. Well worth a visitReviewer Rating
