Simply superb, best course I have ever played at

By far the best course I have played at. From the minute you arrive, everything they do is as you could hope it would be.

Having played Carnoustie the day before, and been somewhat disappointed by the overall experience it was an absolute pleasure to arrive at Kingsbarns and get spoilt.

The club and check-in is efficient, the practice grounds superb, the clubhouse and locker room friendly and well designed with stunning views out to the course.

We were very lucky with the weather, a milder wind than you may expect at this time of year and sunshine, but the course was in sublime condition. Trolleys included in your round as well as plenty of other small gifts like ball markers, pitch mark repairers. Given the price you pay you may suggest that this is to be expected but it is nice not to have to worry about the small details.

The course itself was superbly laid out, some very challenging holes, but equally able to play each one differently so that accuracy and course management is as important as being able to hit big.

The greens were lightening quick but ran so true that you could trust your instincts and if you had read the line and pace well, be rewarded, but like most of the course, if you make a mistake you are punished.

Despite having not scored as well as I would have liked I took a couple of birdies and a few pars, just being brutally punished when in a couple of the bunkers, and I really enjoyed the challenge of playing such a visually striking course that was imposing but fair.

I have not played a better course in my memory, despite having played some notable courses, and would thoroughly recommend a visit to Kingsbarns if you are in the area, or simply if you just love a good round of golf.

Not often you can say that a round this expensive was worth every penny, but it really was that enjoyable to play that it becomes a secondary factor and I would happily pay it to play many times in the future.

What can you say that hasn’t already been said. One of the best courses in the world let alone the UK. Stunning views, immaculate course. A real treat.

Great course with a great setting. Worthy of it's high ranking. The course was in immaculate condition, even in April. Practice facilities are very good, staff friendly and helpful.

without doubt the best golf course I have played...we had a great day weather wise and played in Polo tops all the way round only a slight breeze which made the yardage easier to club on....greens were fantastic for the end of October and everything about the experience was very special....a golfing highlight for what was my 252nd golf course

Fully lives up to its billing as one of the top UK courses. It can be tough in places but always rewards good shots and leaves you feeling it was an enjoyable challenge. The magic of the course is that it feels like it's always been there despite being a relatively new links. A true gem

Golfshake Team ReviewThe best course I've ever played. Admittedly the weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and there was a bit of a breeze but from the time we arrived we were treated wonderfully. The course was immaculate, the tees, fairways, bunkers and greens were just perfect and the pin positions were just set on the tricky side that made you think about every approach shot. Every hole had the wow factor as soon as you reached the tee box. Difficult to say what the stand out holes are, can't think of a weak one to be honest. OK, it's expensive and it helped that we were treated but I'd certainly save up and play this one again iF i COULD.
