Overall the course is in very good condition bearing in mind how much rain we had, some of the bunkers were GUR, more annoying was that other players had not repaired their pitch marks on the greens. The course is quite open and blustery on windy days.Reviewer Rating

As usual the course had held up well after all the rain we have had. Some of the bunkers and water hazards were frozen , which one of the guys took advantage of on the 16th par 3.. There was only two holes with mats on the tees.

Best winter course on the planet, dries out after a lot of rain very quickly and even if the greens are wet they are still very quick.

Play was very Slow yesterday. A golf society seemed to hold up play and it took us 5 hrs to complete our round

Exceptional
Played this course on 15th Nov, all other courses were either closed or had restrictions. The course was in amazing condition, it was like playing in summer. Firm fairways and greens, I take my hat off to the ground keepers.Reviewer Rating

Friendly club, clubhouse functional, fairways in good condition considering the amount of rain lately. Bunkers ok and greens still fast and challenging. Very enjoyable place to play.

Hadn't played here for a while. Nipped round at twilight on a Friday for something like £20 which was excellent value. Course was in good condition. It's not the longest but gives you an opportunity to hit some irons off tees and the same into plenty of greens. Well worth playing if you want to get round somewhere quickly for a reasonable amount of cash.

Good course worth playing
Shorter than most and inevitably busy on Bank Holiday though most groups were 2 and 3 balls. Unfortunately got stuck behind a young 3ball who sprayed it around but wouldn't let us through.Otherwise good fun and greens a challenge as fast and quite a few slopes. Great real ale at the bar.

Good find
Nice course with quite a few short par 4's. Greens were good and quite fast. Tees were a bit scruffy but bunkers excellent. I enjoyed the par threes and the finishing hole is quite a challenge. Need a good drive to the right position and then a medium iron over the bushes and water. Definatley one to return too and good value at ?23 for 2pm tee time on a Friday.Reviewer Rating

I last played this course in 1992 shortly after it had opened. The trees have grown! Joking aside it is a well laid out, well maintained course with a friendly atmosphere from the staff and fellow golfers. Tee slots fill up very quickly and lately each day seems to be fully booked. Tee offs were running late and we started about ten minutes later than booked and so the pace of play was a little slow. Well worth the green fee. Did not try the practice facilities and only had a quick drink.

Always a fun round.
Try and play Hurtmore once a year. It is not long and quite a forgiving course. This year (July 2023) fairways a bit bare in places, actually quite difficult to not get a bare lie on the fairways. However green in great condition and the quickest I have played this year.Back 9 is probably the more difficult of the two nines.
Pro Shop efficient and welcoming.
Just wish the catering opened earlier. Not sure if the opening times but nothing stirred kitchen wise when we teed off at 9.30am.
The only hot drink you can get is iat the vending machine in the Pro Shop at £2.00 a pop!
But I am being picky!

Nice course, forgiving
Considering this course is open to the public, and heavily used, it is in very good condition. Nice greens and lots of work evident on the approaches to greens. Some of the tees are a bit scruffy but otherwise it is nice to play,Reviewer Rating

Continual improvements
Course was in good condition with new features such as lines across the approach to the greens to stop trolleys which has improved greens no end. Greens are in excellent condition bearing in mind the dry weatherReviewer Rating
