Pleasant surprise
Have played several times over the years, always enjoyable as a good mix of holes and usually in good condition. Bad weather had resulted (on the website) stating a few holes were closed/temp greens, but the course was fully open on reg greens which were very good.Reviewer Rating

Nice, friendly course
Revisited this course some 20 years after last playing it, during a society outing.Found the course in great condition from tee to green, but the greens themselves were hard, sandy and unreceptive. We were having to land approach shots short of greens and trust to luck with the bounces. You expect this on a links course but not on parkland!
Other than this minor gripe we enjoyed ourselves and found the staff and members friendly, with decent Covid measures in place.

Always a pleasure to play.
Nice mix of holes, easy start then some challenging elevation changes 3-6. Gets a bit tighter before ending on a few tough holes as you head back to the club house. Watch the clubhouse window on 18! Really worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Good greens plus a few quirky holes
Played here for first time with a gift voucher. Very enjoyable experience. Relatively short course off the yellows but some interesting holes. 6th across the access road a bit unnerving for a first timer. Liked the dry penalty ditches so you could retrieve your ball! Very nicely presented, excellent greens (which we also enjoy at my home club, rarely rivalled elsewhere). Only disappointment was no catering, not even a cheese roll, when we had been advised there would be food available.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyed this one!
Another course for me that I haven't played in a long time (I know I have though has I have a ball marker and pitch repairer from here from years ago.) It's one that has recently found it's way onto our society list and I played it this weekend thanks with the Rabbits Team at my home course!Really enjoyed it here - some very interesting holes and a really pleasing start - got a bit wet through holes 6,7,8 and this had a detrimental effect on my overall card - but prior to the rain (and after it) the fairways were running well, the tees were nicely cut, the greens were tricky but true and there was sand in the bunkers.
It was a very good venue!

quirky
Not the longest but you have to stay engaged and think where you want to be after each shot. Really good find in a place you wouldn't expect to find such a fine golf course.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 115 Handicap: 28.6)
