Good course but you need to be a mountain goat. Conditions didn't help but the day was enjoyable.

Very well looked after course set on the highest point in St Helens with Panaramic views across merseyside over to the hills of Wales. The course has varied and interesting holes which will become much harder as the young trees mature and make the faireways feel much tighter. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Shame about the weather!
Played for the first time as part of a society day - the weather was initially awful however it did calm & the curse did cope well with the excess water. Nice course, great views and as a lot of the fairways slope, a good challenge. Will go back soon, would like to experience a dry round there - well priced also.Reviewer Rating

GET A BUGGY!
If you don’t get a buggy you’ll be blowing by the time you reach the 5th tee , I don’t think I’ve played a course that is built on such a slope I think there is only 3 flat holes on the whole course.It’s a great track mind and if your slightly off your in all sort of trouble as the ground lays away from you plenty of blind shots also so a few lost balls that were in play but as couldn’t see the bounce no idea landing spot.
Greens were very good.
Only downside bar was closed after we finished at 9pm during June ???????

First society game of the season.
It was wet when we played but the course was fantastic yes very wet in some places but with the weather we had it was to be expected greens where spot on can't wait to play it later in the year when it's dry. Great course, great price and great staff one of my favourite courses.Reviewer Rating

The course was in excellent condition, greens were fast and true. We had buggies which I'd recommend unless your a mountain goat! Top top course

A physically demanding course, uphill, downhill, across a hill. Just about walkable and playable after some heavy overnight rain. The course played OK, the greens ran pretty smooth and with a decent pace for late Autumn. The fairways where spoiled by having a large amount of wormcasts everywhere so I played prefered lies. Great views (think I could see Canada from the top!) Memorable because I holed out from 130yds+ twice !!

The course is very well looked after the greens can be fast when set up for comps it is very hilly so you have a choice either wLk or get a buggy beautiful course

Nice course, well kept, very hilly so would recommend a buggie or at least a trolley. Excellent apart from very expensive bar prices!!

Get a Buggy!!! Lovely looking course that isn't too tricky but on some holes makes a good challenge. All well maintained and well laid out but what it lacks in length it makes up for in height, most holes seem uphill and I recommend anyone to get a buggy as you will get tired the more you play. Great facilities though and a real enjoyable round of golf!
