Lightning fast greens which are quite scary but if you hit your put straight and true they are wonderful. Your approach has to change as well due to the rock hard greens. The fairways are beautiful. The clubhouse is always very nice and quite reasonable.

An excellent course that will challenge low handicappers but caters for higher ones too! It starts with four challenging up hill par fours and ends with a fantastic par 5 with a huge slope downhill. The high winds and chalk underground means it's playable all year round. The greens are quick, even at this time of year

Lovely course. All uphill for the first 4/5 holes. Playing quite well for this time of year.

First visit to Hockley.
A very well maintained course and lovely clubhouse.
Course was ideal for me as a mid-high handicapper. Not too many long holes but a challenge nonetheless, with some testing greens.
Will certainly return again soon.

A challenging downs course with long par 4s and greens worthy a spot on the tour.
You expect this course to be hilly followed by more hills, but this is not the case as the course layout cleverly smooths the gradients and it does not feel you have been for a climb.
The greens are a real test, quick and undulating.
I suspect Hockley is playable in all seasons including our very wet summers.

Hockley is by far the best course I've played, it is in fantastic condition for the time of year. It is just a great enjoyable course, the only negative thing for me is you can't see any of the course from the clubhouse, but that's a small thing.
