Played early Sunday morning. Not a winter green in sight and only 1 winter tee.
Overall very impressed.Despite quite a bit of rain recently the course in great nick- can't wait to return when it's a bit warmer.
Facilities inside - loads of room,reasonable prices for drinks at bar.
Very friendly staff.

Played mid January 2017, for the time of year the course was in excellent condition and good value for money. £17 on Sat morning! Greens were good although there appears to be some repairs being made on the back 9 greens. Bunkers looked good, although didn't go in one so can't comment. Nice long course too, 5 par 5's is quite uncommon. Some good long holes, didn't take driver, wedge very often. Would strongly recommend. Score 30pts Handicap 17

Played the emerald course mid week 9 o'clock tee considering the weather front nine in excellent condition back 9 a little wet . Would recommend this course excellent layout quite a few ditches and ponds on front 9

A good solid course with some challenging holes and some cleverly placed pin/hole positions to make some short par 4's very difficult to score on!
Hotel was great, food amazing and the service, second to none!

Stayed here for a 2 night 3 day golf party and this is a superb resort. Highly recommended. there were 9 of us who stayed and everyone of us agreed it was spot on. Course wise we played both. the emerald which is the longer one was a great course. The only disappointment was the long grassed greens. made it very hard and stiff when putting. Other than that I would give this course a huge thumbs up.

Arrived Aug 2014 to torrential rain first day then brightened up late afternoon ( my tee time ) course was boggy but greens were very playable as was the fairways excellent condition.. following day after rain all night i missed the rain yet again course great drainage system hardly any water on the greens... excellent course all round great package prices available.. food and drinks very expensive but packages inclusive reduce the costs.. brill staff and pro shop was very helpful...

“Annual Masters Sunday Driver Golf Trip”
Just returned from our second visit to Hill Valley on our now annual golf trip, as usual we played the short Sapphire course, on completion we checked in to the hotel.
We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes from the reception staff special thanks to Michelle, Nikki and Christine for their patience and excellent customer service.
The food was excellent as usual, everyone in our group complemented the quality of cuisine and the restaurant staff, again special thanks to Steph who attended to our table for the evening meal and the breakfast staff Debbie and the senior server ( I forgot his name), very professional and informative especially about the famous black pudding from the isle of Stornoway. which was excellent. Bar staff Annalisa and a special thanks to Ian for looking after us in the Masters bar, thanks for going that extra mile to make sure we were looked after on Sunday night watching Bubba win his second Masters.
Finally not forgetting the Pro shop staff Matt and Andrew for their exceptional service although we were only a small group of 12.
I can only thank you for your exceptional staff for their professionalism and whatever your training program is do not change it,
