High Elms Very poor

Booked through their on line app. Played there on a number of occasions and for a municipal type course its always been good value with some interesting holes. However, after today's round I would advise staying away. The cost is very inexpensive but the course was in a terrible condition the tees would struggle to pass for a fairway, uneven longer grass in places. That is manageable but the greens are just awful lots of sand, uneven surface making putting a complete lottery.

Worst greens around !!

This course used to be one of the best pay and play around.
Ever since MyTime Active took over its slowly gone downhill.
The greens are awful. Full of black disease patches and bumpy.
Fairways on 10th and 12th full of wormcasts so you can hardly
find a decent spot to hit the ball.
They refuse to spend money and uplift this once lovely course.
Members pay £1080 a year. What do they do with it?
Come on. A well maintained course attracts more people !!

Worth a visit

High Elms track is very challenging with lots of character especially the par 4's.
The uphill 13th par 3 is a very demanding hole.
With more care from the greens staff this could be a lovely pay and play course.
Greens were quite scarred and bumpy due to winter conditions.

Played the course yesterday and had an enjoyable round. Course is playing very well and in particualar greens stand out positively in comparison to the dozen or so other courses I have played recently. The course layout is interesting, with a good variation of holes (the 13th is a mamouth 213yrd Par 3) that provide a solid test of your all round game.

a tough layout with some great par 4's!

High Elms is a course that requires some long and accurate drives for the par fours. The greens are in good condition and are receptive. Bunkers still need some improvement. The fairways are coming back.

Have to carry

High Elms. Doesn't drain very well. Course bans trollies and buggies for approx. 10 weeks through waterlogged ground. Per year. So unless you haven't got a medical condition and are fit to carry I would advise not to pay for years membership. Unless you play 3 or 4 times a week.

I was a me ber for 12 years till they started to ban personal buggies, and trollies in wet conditions. High Elms ddajns terribly and has mud or temp. greens a lot over approx. 5montgs jn winter autumn. I wouldn't recommend anyone to join the club unless they can carry a bag all the time. Not much grass on fairways. Certainly wouldn't pay £38 at weekend to play it.

Parkland Course

Varied 6000 yard+ course with many challenging holes. Par 5s and par 3 well spaced out and tough 18th to finish.
