And the people who run it don’t care. The fact they can’t be bothered to put different coloured flags on the greens to denote pin position says it all.Reviewer Rating

A disappointing day on High Elms
Very disappointed in the state of High Elms Golf course today.very slow uncut greens, muddy fairways, unraked bunkers.

Poor course

Awful
The layout and the design of the course is good but it has to be in the worst condition of any 18 hole golf course I have ever played. How My time have allowed this to happen is beyond Belief. This is many many months of shoddy management. Appalling!!Reviewer Rating

Never again!
Waited on almost every hole and fairway as they have packed too many people on in 8 minute slots which is no where near long enough for a 4 ball to get through a hole. A lot of the tee boxes were in bad condition and also parts of some of the greens. I also damaged a club from a huge rock in an unmaintained bunker. All of our 4 ball have voewd never to go back.Reviewer Rating

Terrible
Paid £35 to play here... in golfing terms, that’s higher than average for a public parkland golf course. This course has so much potential, however the course is in AWFUL condition.Tee boxes have been left to dry out and are just big areas of dirt with no grass on them.
Absolutely no excuse but poor maintenance.
Fairways were overgrown and patchy.
Bunkers had no sand in whatsoever... in fact I played out of two green side bunkers and ended up hitting a rock and practically destroying the sole of me vokey wedge.
Greens have also been left to dry out and have had no water on them whatsoever. Good tee shots are not rewarded by softer greens. It was like playing onto marble.
Everyone in my 4 ball said they would never play High Elms again EVER!
That’s how bad the course is.
And as I said before... it’s a shame, because with a little tlc, it could be amazing.

Poor greens
The course has been closed for 2 months due to covid 19, but was assured the staff had working hard on the course while closed! ( didn't show ) greens had bald patches, and chunks out of them. Grass cuttings just of all fairways, making itvery hard to find ball.Reviewer Rating

This course is probably in the worst condition that I have ever seen there, the fairways are bare already and the greens are definitely the worst that I have ever played anywhere

prices hiked to 35 quid on saturday and the course is in poor condition, changed the layout of the course for no apparent reason. NOT coming back

AVOID!!
Fairways and greens are like playing on a farmers field, appalling and have the cheek to charge full price. Have change the course around so start on the 10th another really poor decisionReviewer Rating

Always previously enjoyed High Elms but really poor tees and greens ,prices have risen £35 is not a good deal many better courses for this price(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 108 Handicap: 23.4)
