Society day

Excellent course. Highly recommend
Played today (party of 8). Been a few years since we last played here. Not disappointed. Still a very high standard of course maintenance.very challenging course with undulating fairways. Everything in top condition (possibly a touch more sand in some of the bunkers). Made very welcome in the pro shop and bar area afterwards. Would highly recommend and hopefully will be playing it again this year.(if same deal still available). Great course worth playing
First time playing Hickleton. Overall very impressed, friendly welcome in the pro shop. Great practice facilities. Course looks great, a few mud balls as still recovering from recent wet weather. Greens mint for this time of year. Quite hilly course but walked round no problem. A few tricky holes, longish par 3s. One or two blind shots from a couple holes tee adds to the excitement. Unbelievable

Great course, but hilly!
Booked a four-ball here for £56 through GolfNow and it was worth every penny.The whole course was in excellent nick and the greens were pretty fast and very true.
Had a blinding front 9 amassing 22 pts but then the 80+ degree heat and decidedly up and down nature of the course started to take it's toll and the wheels fell off on the back 9.
We were discussing whether Hickleton might be the best track in Doncaster and couldn't
come up with a better one!
Highly recommended.

Hidden gem
What a course the staff where very polite the professional was very helpful the breakfast was very good the course is brilliant there is not a boring hole on the course the fairways were very good your ball sat up on the lush fairways the ruff was thick but cut just right so u could find your ball n the greens where great they where fast but true the green keeps have done a great job any 1 who as not played Hickilton u r missing out go n play it u will not be disappointed(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 8.7)

best course played this year.... by far !!!!
Course in excellent condition, best by far played this year, played on Thursday so only cost £15 (so even better). Every hole a challenge, nothing boring about this course. Made welcome by all staff we dealt with, so big thank you to pro shop and clubhouse would definitely recommended this course and will be visiting hicketon in the near future.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 13.6)

Beautiful views, good golf course
A fair course that provides challenge but isn't too harsh for many wayward shots. Some lovely views up and down the valleys as well. An absolute must, particularly if you can get it at the ?15 per round rate.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course. Beautiful views and the 15th tee is up there with the most impressive i've ever played from. Greens were full of sand when we played but still quick and true. Tough but fair test of a course that I will very gladly play again. I'd place this in the top 5 of the course i've been fortunate enough to play up until this point.

thanks to all at hickilton the breakfast was good nothing was to much trouble for all of the staff the course was in great nick for the time of the year its a hard course with a lot of dog legs the greens where good and true if you want a challenge go n play here its a great test of golf n very good value for money once again thanks to all for a great day

Outstanding value as a visitor at just £15 midweek (Thursday). The course is in excellent condition from tee to green, fantastic tee boxes, not one on a slope and all well maintained complete with loam boxes to fill divots, ball cleaners and bins are also present plus, iron cleaners located on the par 3 tees all along with excellent signage. Beautifully manicured fairways, clearly defined from the rough with bunkers in play on the fairways and protecting the greens, managed to find 3 green side, but narrowly avoided several of the well placed bunkers from the tee. The greens were pretty much top-notch, the odd one was still showing signs of the work the club has done in preparation for the season with the odd minor sign of scarifying but still ran true. The conditions aside, some brilliant golf holes with some stunning views, all that the course maybe lacks is some more water, the first is great but after that it is minor hazards and also, think all the 4's are out of reach in one, always nice to have a stab at driving a green, but you can't have everything!

The course is very good, has you play par 4 on the 1st par 3 2nd and a par 5 onthe 3rd, the views on some of the tees are stuning, greens good all in all a great challange of your golf. Meals are good to.

Took 10 golfers here and all of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This course is held in high regard throughout South Yorkshire and I can see why. The course was in fantastic condition and there are lots of testing holes which require you to think. I will definitely play here again and the 241 vouchers made it even cheaper! Well done Hickleton
