Played the course recently and it was excellent. The hospitality and welcome was second to none. The bacon barm before play was delicious.

Quality on the golf coast
Well as ever Hesketh didn't disappoint. I've played here a few times but not since the reshaped 17th fairway which is still work in progress and could do with some signage for newcomers to the course as in distance and direction. I do believe it will overtime become a fantastic feature of what is a deceptively challenging course. The greens were in perfect condition as they always are and be advised you need to be accurate when driving off the tees and on some holes it's advisable not to be too greedy as it will suck you into all sorts of trouble. I absolutely love this course in my back yard and is up their with Hillside, S&A etc. Make a point of seeking this fantastic gem out.Reviewer Rating

One of the best
Played with a Society and it's fair to say that Hesketh GC is a level above courses that I have played previously.I didn't play particularly well but enjoyed every single hole & will definitely visit again.

Nice course, worth playing
Second time playing Hesketh this time in much better conditions, hot sunny weather with a little bit of a breeze. Friendly welcome in clubhouse and pro shop. Course looking a bit scorched by recent hot weather giving plenty of roll on the fairways. Greens excellent, nice true roll. Temporary holes 17th & 18th in play due to redesigning so not as tough of a finish as before as now a par 3 & 4 instead of 2 par 5s. Good flat walking around but long. Will return for sure.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 76 Handicap: 4.9)

Superb course and great condition for time of year
Took advantage of a Winter offer. £30 for round followed by soup and sandwich. Course was in great nick, last 2 holes closed for development but rest looking great.(Round played: Dec 2017 - Score: 103 Handicap: 28)

Excellent
Played the end of Sept and a great course, very different in parts. Parkland for the first part then gently moves into links type territory. Some fantastic holes, loads a variation, superb greens, loved it :-)(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 93 Handicap: 19.4)

Course in great condition considering the rain we've had and preparing well for Easter comps. Beautiful day helped for an overall decent round, flying start poor middle backend recovery. Good day. Good course.

We usually play this course during the summer months in scheduled open competitions.I made arrangements with the pro to visit on the 30/12/16.We were made aware of the winter set up of the course & accepted that different tees were in play.Our course adopts a fairway mats policy so it was great to play the ball as it lay without a temporary green in sight!The greens had been worked upon but still ran quick and true.
We enjoyed the day & the welcome received from all of the staff. Will be booking in to your club again soon.

First time I've played Hesketh but will definitely go again , superb course and set up and in great condition , a bargain at £35 including soup and sandwiches !

A thoroughly enjoyable day and will most definitely be making another trip to Hesketh Golf club. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side but this just made the course tougher but in no way affecting the enjoyment. The Clubhouse was exceptional with the wall covered in history. The service was brilliant, the young man behind the bar couldn't do enough for myself and our party. The food was exceptional and generous portions. All in all a brilliant course, service and great value for money.

As with most courses the water table isn't being kind. Let's be honest this year has seen unprecedented levels of rain so playing this time of year you should be expecting a " damp" course. If you come here in the summer you will find fast running greens & fairways penal rough & if you play to your handicap you've had a great knock. A true test of golf with a great clubhouse for a pint & a bite to eat afterwards.

Fantastic Layout, must visit
My first time at Hesketh, and what a pleasant experience. Great layout, with a fantastic mix of holes, and a beautiful presented course by the Greens Team. Particularly liked the two closing par 5s.Lots of risk and reward. Anyone will enjoy.
