What a lovely course, you need to play it !
This course hasn't really been on the radar with our society, mainly because of all the other options available in Leeds/Bradford, but we thought we'd give it a try anyway. We paid ?35 for the round and steak pie/fish and chips and what a bargain. This course is stunning, the greens were fantastic for the time of the year and the holes are nicely laid out and very picturesque. We managed to choose a day with snow, sleet, wind and rain but even that didn't ruin our enjoyment of what some of our 10 players said could be up there with the best courses they've played in the area. The pro shops chaps were really accommodating and pointed us to a cafe next door for brekky and we had a good chat to some of the members in the clubhouse before our round. We are already chomping at the bit to get back to this course in better weather and I think it would impress any golfers who love a 100+ year old course with some beautiful approaches to greens, so challenging par 3's and a couple of stunning signature holes. They even have a fully functioning halfway house which is good to see and I cannot find fault with this course at all. A genuine hidden gem which doesn't get the plaudits it deserves in the shadow of some much more expensive courses.Reviewer Rating

We were not disappointed
First time playing Headingly for us. We had heard so many great reports about the course, and we were not disappointed. The whole course was immaculately maintained and so well presented. It’s an absolute gem of a course and well worth the trip.Reviewer Rating

Nice course with great scenery
First time playing Headingley, very impressed I was too. Friendley welcome in clubhouse and pro shop. Great practice facilities. Some great visual holes starting with the par 4 1st and finishing with par 3 17th and par 4 18th towards the clubhouse. Course in great conditions although greens were a touch slow due to recent work on them. Good food in clubhouse afterwards. Well worth a visit for sure.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 78 Handicap: 5.4)

The course is in my top 3 courses in leeds (the other 2 being alwoodley & sandmoor)
The course itself is challenging, you really need to hit every fairway to get a low score. The course is always in amazing condition even after this years flooding and you will never ever play of those stupid winter fairway matts. The Greens are always true and although they look fairly flat you will be shocked at the amount of turn you get on putts
My favourite holes on this course are the 3rd Par 4 with trees all down the fairway and a few bunkers to catch a slightly hooked drive. The green is fairly big guarded by 2 bunkers and is raised so any shots left or long will be punished
ALso the signature 17th Par 3 is not only great to play but also great on the eye. It is paramount to hit the green here or you will be in all sorts of trouble as its guarded by an army of bunkers, heavy rough & Trees. There is a good opportunity to get a hole in one as the green feeds balls towards the hole. On the other hand it is also a card wrecker (I have taken a 8 on this hole before)
I highly reccommend this course to anyone
