I played at Hazel Grove Golf Club on Tuesday and the course was in excellent condition despite heavy rain. The evening Ladies Dinner featured fantastic food and service. I enjoyed a crispy Greek-style Pistachio & Feta Filo Pie with perfectly cooked veg, followed by Lemon Tart and Ice Cream. The meal just doesn’t get any better than this and the price was very competitive. The staff were attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I plan to keep on returning while these caterers are there.Thanks to the Lady Captain and her helpers for their good service at the hut. Thanks to the Lady Vice Captain for the beautiful flower arrangements. Thank you to all the staff for making the day and evening special.

Excellent condition, facilities and very welcoming
Really enjoyed a 2 ball on there today. The fairways are in excellent condition and the greens were superb, quick but true. From the shop to the locals playing and the clubhouse, everyone was very friendly - especially the kind group who pointed out we'd played hole 11 instead of 5 haha.Some good, challenging holes, not too tight and good for thinking golf!
The course was also really quiet and with no one in front or behind, made for a very enjoyable round

With all the rain recently I expected the course to be far wetter. Yet the ground staff have obviously been working hard, as the course played really well. The greens were true and relatively quick. Great day all round, including a nice pint in the 19th.

Hazel Grove was a fantastic course, the club pro was really helpfull all the fellow players and club staff were very friendly. we will be returning vey soon loved it.

Considering all the rain recently, the course played really well. The professional could not have been more accommodating, a credit to the club.

First time playing the course. It's a challenging course, although the first nine is tougher than the back nine. Well kept course with some really nice features. Will definitely play again.

Course was in very good condition, we've had a fair bit of rain over the last week or so but it seems to be a well draining course and very playable. An enjoyable round and I'll play the course again.

Played here last week. Immaculate fairways. Perfect Greens. Bunkers in good conditon. A credit to the greenkeeper. Fair but challenging course. Like the fact that the members and visitors can take out Divot Bags to fill in the divots every day. Lovely clubhouse with good food. No old school tie job here, just friendly members and staff. I think the previous reviewer must have reviewed the wrong course. It cannot have changed in less than 3 weeks.

What a great course, a real gem. Played in February and still on normal greens, really testing course for any level of golfer. Some fantastic views that almost distracted me from some tricky shots! Pro shop and 19th were excellent and seems to have a really helpful bunch of members. Might consider joining here myself now.

Hazel grove is about to enter its centenary year and a lot of work has been done on the course, greens and clubhouse to ensure a spectacular golfing year.
anyone looking for somewhere that is a good test of golf without being a nightmare will find no finer course than Hazel Grove. The course and greens have been open all winter with no serious detriment and the huge irrigation project just installed to protect the greens in hot weather (Hazel Grove has a mini micro-climate as well!) will pay dividends as the summer progresses.
There are always some great deals on the visitor section on the website and with online booking now available playing at HGGC couldnt be easier.

Nice course worth playing
Second time playing Hazel Grove this time in one of their well run Open competitions. Friendly welcome all round, nice clubhouse, well stocked pro shop. Good practice facilities. Course generally in good condition, a few holes where new drainage repairs are showing but still well playable. Tee boxes a bit worn. Greens very good, rolled really well. Course is fairly flat so easy walk around. Some holes where you have to get thinking cap on especially where the numerous ditches come into play. Nice course worth playing
First time playing Hazel Grove GC. Played in one of their opens which was well organised. Friendly welcome by all. Nice , modern looking clubhouse. Good practice facilities. Course looked great. Tricky starting hole. Greens okay, should be mint in a month or so. Very hard to read with many subtle borrows, easy to 3 putt on some. Some card wrecking long par 3s. Although quite a short course it's still a good walk around mainly on the flat. Enjoyed the day and will be back sometime for sure.Reviewer Rating
