What the club says: 18 hole course situated next to Birmingham International Airport. The course is well established with open fairways enticing you to use your driver off the tees. The greens are big and some span up to 20 yards, so a good approach shot is vital to leave a short putt. In the summer the greens are fast and slick to further challenge the golfer. The 16th is a difficult par four sometimes needing three good shots to reach the green as a strong wind always seems to blow directly into your face. A five is an acceptable score on this tough hole. From the tee you can either carry two fairway bunkers at about 220 yards or you can play left but close to the rough. The course offers a good practice area on natural grass.

Nice flat course and good to play

Nice flattish course near airport
Always good to come back to Hatchford Brook. Not too punishing but challenging enough. The big novelty is the planes taking off from Brum Airport. Nice clubhouse. Reasonable prices.Reviewer Rating

The fairways and second cut are generally good . The bunkers were awful,unraked compacted and full of quite large stones. Worst of all were the greens, most were bobbley and uneven and weedy. Some looked as though they had been vandalised by idiots on bikes, but were poorly repaired.Reviewer Rating

Very open

The course is in excellent condition with the greens being true and fast. Some bunkers consist of compacted sand due to the recent rain, but dont go into them and you will be fine!

Nice flattish course. Good to play
Always nice to go to Hatchford Brook. Nice and flat mainly so good for those who struggle a bit. Reasonably priced (although hoping Mytime will make the booking system a bit easier). We always enjoy it. Also a bit of plane spotting at the airport as you play! Good cafe and bacon butty facilities.Reviewer Rating

Good winter golf

Lovely course, quite flat. Bunkers need looking at, currently not much sand in them. Couple of the holes run next to runway at Birmingham airport.

A lovely course on a dry, hot day. All tee boxes, fairways and greens in excellent condition. On a bank Holiday Monday it was surprisingly quiet, but no complaints about that !!

Wide fairways
Although the ground was wet, the course wasnt in too bad a condition considering. The greens were well kept but played slow. Hazards were well marked. Practice greens were good, although ran faster than actual greens.Covid protocols were good

What a difference!
I last played here over 20 years ago when it was one of the Birmingham city council municpals. What a difference. With a fantastic club hose including gym facilities and refreshments, to a fantastic driving range. The biggest change is on the golf course. I barely recognised any of the holes as they had been very thoughtfully updated. The holes have been lengthened and greens changed (though there is still room for improvement here) we were a 3 ball playing on Friday afternoon. It seemed like we had the course to ourselves. We took 3 hours 25 minutes for the round with no delays and no one pushing up behind us. The fairways are generous and the rough fair unless you go too far off line. The green fee was ?19.50 and the buggy ?20. We will definitely return here again soon.Reviewer Rating

A decent course with wide fairways, little water and bunkers guarding every green. The sand is of differing quality in the bunkers, sometimes hard, sometimes fluffy even on the same day.

Good test, some greens were soggy in places , very little sand in bunkers, needs more money spent on the course, otherwise not to bad for a pay and play course

Superb value for money. Greens were a little bobbley and bunkers not great, but tees, fairways etc were perfect. 18 holes for less than a tenner, no better value anywhere.
