Amazing these days to see a council investing in a golf course, which is great, but right now it's a bit of a mess due to the works - large greenside bunkers being reworked and it really does look like a building site. The greens are also in a pretty shocking state with large divots in many meaning no chance of a true roll from many lies.
All of this stuff can be understood IF the club tells you before you hand over your green fee and/or adjust the course price accordingly. Neither of these happened so left fairy disappointed.

Weather made course pretty boggy and a couple of temporary greens which was pretty poor. Overall ok though and would play in the summer months

The course wasn't in the best condition. Tee boxes were on a slant and the grass was overgrown, while fairways were very bare. There were some nicely designed holes but the front 9 especially featured a lot of back and forth very similar par 4s. That being said, the green fees are generally quite low here so you get what you pay for!

Played 11am on a Sunday. 23 quid for the round. Great Harry Colt design on undulating ground marred by shocking greens on the front nine and slow play from the jeans wearing, etiquette oblivious, high handicap punters. Maybe worth a look on a quiet weekday, but avoid on the weekends.

The greens have taken a beating in the bad weather and need more maintenance.
The fairways are fine though.

Have been playing here a few years as a member. For £525 p.a for 7 days play in 3 courses, this must be the bargain buy in the area but.....Things had deteriorated terribly because of the previous management. Horses had been allowed to destroy some greens. Hoping the Hillingdon Council will invest to bring the course to its true glory - producing mirror greens, fine sand bunkers and clearing those deeply filled (leaves) ditches! The greens could not be any worse at the moment! Layout/design is really challenging and interesting - due to hedges, trees, ditches and slopes and strategically placed deep bunkers. Hillingdon council - please note and you will attract more players to this course if the problems are sorted out quickly. Currently, the food is obviously catered for the well heeled. But thanks for the new compressor air jets!

One of my favorite courses in Middlesex, but played 1st of April and fairway grass too long and greens very tired and in need of a lot of attention.
Still great value at under ?20 for 18 holes and the bar/clubhouse looks to have new owners so hopefully a good pint and grub not far off.
