Hilly but playable course.
This was the first time that I ventured over to Harwood and I did need my satnav to find it! However, it was an enjoyable eighteen holes despite a few climbs that would not please everyone. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition although the front nine did contain a fait few slopes? There were a few crossovers on the back nine but the fairways were somewhat flatter.Reviewer Rating

Great but tricky course
I've been a member of HARWOOD GC for just over 18 months now and have to say its a fantastic course not very long but not an easy course to play it will catch you out if you approach it thinking it looks easy well maintained by the green keeping staff friendly members and a great pro who,s always on hand to give advice also a nicely stocked shop for anything you need all in all a great golf course highly recommended.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 89 Handicap: 24.8)

Good course bad weather
Tough course in the wet,quite a few greens with water on. front 9 is tough walking buggy would be recommended. Holes easy to follow apart from hole 12 which is not sign posted well. club shop give a very warm welcome. would love to play againin nicer weather

They treated us like VIP’s, Geoff and John and all the Officials were excellent, in fact everyone from the Chef to the friendly bar staff were very professional.
We felt like members of Harwood not visitors, both agreed that we have never played in a friendlier club. We are booking for the Seniors Team Open in September on our return home.
Would have no problem recommending this club, which is a hidden gem to any golfer of any handicap to savour the course and the atmosphere within this great golf club. Warning get your putting game in order before you play this course.
It truly was a great day at Harwood Golf Club one we will be talking about for some time. see you in September.

Very warm weather
The course was in excellent condition greens were super fast weather was 30 degrees in midday sun overall a very good day was had by all 4 of visitors and when finished had a couple of beers in the club house then off for a curry at the pavilion in Astley bridge BoltonReviewer Rating
