Lovely views, nice course layout
Beautiful location and the course was in very good condition. Also 'Tamed the Beast' - 666 yard Par 6. A good challenge and well worth a visit.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 86 Handicap: 17.4)

Challenging, enjoyable, recommended
I've played here a few times, in differing conditions. In the sunshine it is a joy to look at, with views of the Wiltshire countryside for miles, especially down the first fairway. Some very difficult holes, with a good mixture or risk vs rewards shots to tempt you.Very well kept, neatly maintained bunkers and super fast greens.
I visited in mid December this time, and parts were pretty waterlogged along the fairways, but the greens were all running really well and true, although they are suffering from the perpetual problem of unprepared pitch-marks. Otherwise very good.
Halfway house is excellent and very welcome. Starter is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Didn't really see much of the pro-shop and bar area due to Covid. Higly recommended overall.

Brilliant Golf!
Great Course and Great Staff. The Course is testing but enjoyable, I really liked playing the Par 6, I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t love the place. The sign out the front saying ‘No miserable people allowed’ made sure the atmosphere in the clubhouse was upbeat!Reviewer Rating

What a jewel!
Played Hamptworth as part of a recent golf society tour of Wiltshire and its environs recently. What a course - every hole presents a challenge so probing ones all-round game at every turn. Very welcoming club, pro-shop couldn't do enough, lovely ladies at the bar - nothing not to like! And, as a bonus, 400 yards out of the course gate is a wonderful, step back into the 1930s pub, the Cuckoo Inn. Hamptworth is a find and always a go-back- to venue if in the vicinity - our group certainly will!Reviewer Rating

Nice course worth a visit
Nice round of golf with client. Mixed holes lot of variety and very good greens. However be warned a lot of streams and ditches on probably on 75% of holes.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20.5)
